Dear MMS Community, The difference between a good school and a truly great school is in a great school, everyone flourishes: students, teachers, families, and even the wider community. Here at Milwaukee Montessori School our students not only become independent and skilled thinkers, they also become conscientious and socially aware citizens who see themselves as part of a dynamic community. We know this is due in great part to our extraordinary parents who care deeply for not only their own children, but also for every child who attends this school. Your generosity and commitment to MMS allows us to provide all of our students with the kind of safe, engaging, and personalized learning environment that enables tremendous intellectual achievement and engagement. We have designed this booklet to provide a snapshot of different ways you can become engaged in the MMS community this year. We hope that in these pages you find opportunities that catch your interest and inspire you to join the collective efforts that benefit our students each year. We will certainly be delighted to let you know more about any of these roles and look forward to working with you as we continue to grow in this wonderful learning community. In appreciation,
Monica Van Aken, Ed.D. Head of School 2
Giving to the MMS Fund The MMS Fund allows donors to direct gifts to areas of personal interest and help us enhance those elements that make our school great. TUITION ASSISTANCE

GREEN INITIATIVES
Your donation will help us expand our green initiative efforts by helping enhance our sustainability curriculum, funding scholarships for Nature’s Classroom for Junior High students, purchasing green supplies and equipment for our classrooms, and expanding opportunities to teach students how to preserve the world that they will inherit. FACULTY PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
All of our faculty are engaged in professional development, whether it is toddler teachers attending Montessori toddler training or Upper Elementary teachers participating in an advanced writing workshop. Your donation will help us continue to expand the skill sets of our amazing faculty. TECHNOLOGY
Your donation will provide funding to enhance our robotics program and to continue to expand our nationally recognized technology program through the purchase of additional computer systems, software, and applications.
ATHLETICS
Your donation to our athletics fund will help us expand our program by allowing us to purchase equipment to develop the large muscles of our toddlers, invite guest coaches who will refine the skills of our star athletes, and purchase materials that will enhance all of our students’ athletic abilities.
