Tracee Wells was named OVC Coach of the Year in 2008

Tracee Wells was named OVC Coach of the Year following the 2007-08 season a er leading TSU to, what was then, its most league wins since the 1994-95 season. The next season (2008-09) the Tigers improved to an 18-13 overall finish and a 13-5 conference record, marking the program’s first winning season in 13 years (94-95). Under Wells’ leadership TSU has produced two All-OVC first team selec ons in Kendra Appling & Oby Okafor, TSU’s All-Time Career Assists leader LaDona Pierce, All-OVC second team honorees Kendra Bailey & Tiffany Jackson, as well as three of TSU’s All-Time career scoring leaders (Appling , Jackson and Okafor).

Tracee is pictured with husband Charles “Bubba” Wells and stepdaughter Alyiah. The Wells’ family is expec ng a new addi on in December, 2010.
