You can water ski or fish for the worldrenowned trout at Eagle Lake surrounded by mountains and forests of standing pine, or you can ride horses and off-road vehicles on beautiful expanses of high desert. You can camp in high lake areas with streams or hike to the top of neighboring namesake Lassen Peak, a volcano that still blows steam from its vents.
