MEDI A HAVEN O R SM | 2019

Hi Media Haveners ― Welcome to the 2019 ORSM Media Haven! Outdoor Retailer housing can be tough, so we wanted to provide an easy, luxurious and fun alternative for a group of key media during the show. We hope the home we chose, and the amenities we are providing will help you recharge from the chaos of the show floor, and allow you to have a lot more fun than you would staying at a chain hotel. We think we’ve collected a stellar group of sponsor brands, and media, and we hope you all enjoy getting to know each other a little better on morning runs, sipping drinks in the backyard, or at various other OR events. Please don’t hesitate to let us know what we can do to make your experience better. Have a great show!

# ALLTR A ILS

As a proud member of 1% for the Planet, we give 1% of our annual sales to nonprofit organizations focusing on protecting the wild places we cherish and creating positive change for a healthier plant.

Altra was founded to help people run more naturally and with fewer injuries. We have our roots in a small specialty running store in the Wasatch Mountains of Utah where our founders noticed that customers seemed to be constantly hurt, despite their expert efforts to fit them for shoes. Traditional running shoes feature tapered toe boxes and elevated heels, which puts your foot in an unnatural position and encourages over-striding. Every Altra shoe is made with balanced midsole cushioning and a FootShape™ toe box to encourage proper alignment and natural running form. We are also a Fit4Her™ brand, meaning every women’s shoe is built on a truly female specific last. Our roots run deep on the trail, but we’ve expanded since our inception to offer a full line of road, trail, training, lifestyle and outdoor shoes.

Born in the northern Rocky Mountains of Montana, MYSTERY RANCH has designed and built bombproof backpacks for over 40 years. Inspired by our outdoor obsessions – wilderness backpacking, peak bagging, rock and ice climbing, backcountry skiing, as well as our zeal for far-flung travel – at Outdoor Retailer Summer Market, you’ll find our latest, most dialed Mountain collection. For much of the past 20 years, we’ve developed Load Carriage™ systems for the most demanding customers and environments out there – military combat and wildland firefighting. These highest-level users came to us because they knew of our pack-engineering pedigree. They needed purpose-built packs that would carry monstrous loads with more stability – packs that would endure relentless, in-the-field hammering without failure. Designing for this professional and industrial user has taught us about building functional, comfortable packs for hikers, backpackers, climbers, skiers, hunters, and other outdoor zealots. The technical focus for the S20 season is ACCESS and ORGANIZATION, particularly in our growing Climbing category that include these new additions: Tower 47 and the Skyline series. The new TOWER 47 is an organizational monster, feature-filled with the functions you demand as a climber. From its burly fabrication and splay-open access to its removable components and comfortable carry, this is the perfect crag pack. Made for those that want to get to a bottom of the crag, drop the bag, and have it sprawl out with all of their equipment. The new SKYLINE 23 has a great newly designed Rip Zip opening and six more liters of available space than its 17 L little brother. It’s perfect for climbers with a bit more to carry or for climbers of a taller stature. The opening is great for quick and easy access without having to fear the loss of any equipment.

THE MOST TECHNICALLY ADVANCED EYEWEAR IN THE WORLD, THAT DOESN’T LOOK TECHNICAL. As an independent brand in a space oversaturated with big conglomerates more interested in fickle fast-fashion and massive retail markups than the user experience—where the bottom line is what drives design and results in a failure to innovate—our directto-consumer model frees us up to solve real problems for real people, offer substantially better eyeglasses and sunglasses, and do so at half the cost of traditional retail. In other words, other companies just tried to make eyewear cheaper. We make it better.

The new Oslo offers a fashion-forward look in a classic, round frame and utilizes the same performance features ROKA uses in its top-of-the-line sports performance eyewear. Weighing just 19 grams, the Oslo is significantly lighter than any other similar style on the market, providing all day comfort. The Oslo is packed with all of ROKA’s most advanced technology, including the patented GEKO™ retention system on the nose pads and temples, a new patented interchangeable nose pad system for optimal fit and adjustable titanium core wires that bend to provide a truly custom fit. The Oslo also features ROKA’s proprietary C3™ Grilamid optics which come standard with anti-scratch, hydrophobic, oleophobic, anti-fog and antireflective coatings for maximum durability and performance. Named after Norway’s capital city, the Oslo is every bit as on-trend as the design hub it’s named after.

Borrowing its name from the iconic Barton Springs Pool in ROKA’s hometown of Austin, the new Barton adds a classically styled, yet refined, rectangular-lens option to the Modern Classics Collection. The Barton tips the scales at just 24 grams and also offers ROKA’s proprietary GEKO™ fit system on the nose pads and temples to ensure they’ll never fall off your face while running, cycling, hiking or dashing around town. The Barton also features ROKA’s new, patented interchangeable nose pad system and ROKA’s proprietary C3™ Grilamid lenses. Like the city of Austin itself, the Barton is modern with a little edge, and it’s perfect for an active lifestyle.
