The Upstate New York Council is a non-profit minority business advocacy organization. Established in 1979, we are one of 37 regional councils in the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC). The Upstate Council’s region includes: Rochester, Buffalo, Syracuse, the Finger Lakes, Jamestown and Albany. Our corporate members and certified minority business enterprises (MBEs) receive extended outreach and access through NMSDC’s more than 3,500 corporate members –including Fortune 500 companies and 16,000+ minority businesses.

Mission

Our mission is to encourage and facilitate procurement and business opportunities between corporations and other organizations and MBEs in order to fulfill their respective/ mutual business objectives. The Council promotes education and growth of Minority Business Enterprises, thereby enhancing the economic viability of our communities.
