The concept behind Pop up Theater, in addition to responding to the competition requests, was inspired by the modern utopia and technologies from other fields, while thinking about mobile structures and its capability of transforming the enviroment. The beginning of the design process was based on the analysis and use of simple existing technologies applied to solving the challenges of the requirements. Three manually mobile porticos, one larger than the next one, cover and form the audience. This mobile retractible structure has the ability to transform the space from a closed auditorium into an open theater. In order to achieve that flexibility, and based on the mechanism of gantry cranes port, one portico gets inside the other, as a pop up glass. The advantages of this design lies in a better use of space and functional flexibility when offering shows. It is the building that suits the functions to be performed there, and not vice versa.

To restore the views through the park and improve the accesibility we decide to dug the sitting audience, the bakstage and dressing rooms into the ground.. as a result, more park area available for visitors and less impact on the existing situation.
