The MRI Certificate Program at Massasoit Community College offers the imaging technologist the opportunity for professional and personal advancement in the medical imaging profession. Courses provided in the MRI Certificate program are designed to prepare students to fully comprehend the basic physics of Magnetic Resonance Imaging and the basic concept and various techniques associated with it, along with the necessary environment or department.

Magnetic Resonance Imaging Multi-Planar Sectional Pathology MRI Clinical Experience II* (4 hours per week)
Admission to the MRI Certificate Program is limited to:

1. ARRT Registered Technologists. A copy of your ARRT card must be provided with your application for admission. 2. Board-certified radiation therapists, ultrasonagraphers, and nuclear medicine technologists (ARRT, NMTCB and ARDMS certified). A copy of your certification card must be provided with your application for admission. 3. Submit one letter of reference on your behalf stating why you would be a good candidate for the program. The MRI program does not give you the opportunity to obtain competency examinations required by the ARRT to sit for the registry. Competency examinations must be obtained once employed in a CT department. *Clinical is waived for current MRI technologists with proof of employment. This program awards an In-House Certificate upon completion of 6 courses and 10 credits.
