True Pump & Equipment, Inc. Greetings! We're proud and excited to say that last month's sales were our best April since 2008! Our success is based on your success! It's refreshing to see the 2012 season getting off to such a great start for all of us. Our spring seminars were very productive and were not only educational but we also were able to construct two new water features at a couple high visibility locations, Denver Botanic Gardens and Hudson Gardens. Be sure to check out all the information in this month's newsletter, especially the Pondemonium video. This is your year to join us in Chicago! We're looking forward to working together with you to make this the most successful season in a very long time! The True Pump Team

Seminars The Spring Seminar series was a huge success. We held a Build A Pond Day at Denver Botanic Gardens, an Airmax Ecosystems classroom seminar and a Build A Pondless Day at Hudson Gardens. Great job to all who participated, keep an eye out for our fall seminar dates coming soon.

Here's part of the stream from our Build A Pondless Day on April 12 at Hudson Gardens.

Product Update We now have the new AquaSurgePro adjustable flow rate pumps and the second generation IonGens in stock. Get your order in now to be sure you're first in line for these highly anticipated products! Also, due to increasing material costs there was a price increase on liner May 1.

Aquascape Video Plan now to join us for this year's Pondemonium, August 23-26 in Chicago. The theme is "Reinventing

Yourself to Win the Battle" and will focus on what you need to do to be successful in today's changing marketplace. Pondemonium activities include pond tours, hands-on construction training, new product showcases, business and marketing seminars, and networking events. Will you be the one to say "I can't afford to make it" or the one to step up and say "I can't afford to miss it!"

Tech Question Can I use chlorine or bromine to keep my client's water feature free of algae? In an ecosystem pond with plants and fish you cannot use chlorine because it is deadly to the fish. In a pond or pondless waterfall without fish and plants we still do not recommend chlorine because it is very corrosive and will shorten the life of the pump (and usually void the warranty). A better alternative is to use one of the liquid algaecides we carry for these types of features.
