Seminars Here's the proud construction crew from our most recent Build A Pondless Seminar on June 2. Our spring seminars were very educational and everyone had a lot of fun too. We will be offering more seminars this fall, keep an eye on future newsletters for our schedule.

Parade of Ponds We are sad to announce the Colorado Parade of Ponds will not be taking place this year. We are looking at some possible alternatives for 2013. Below is the statement from BR&D Landscape: "After much soul searching, BR&D has decided to suspend the Colorado Parade of Ponds for the 2012 year. Although this has been an enjoyable event, we have found that attendance has declined in the past several years. We know that homeowners and our staff have put a tremendous amount of work into

the event. We are currently in the process of evaluating other options for homeowners to showcase their ponds. We will keep you posted when and if we move forward. For those of you who have participated in past years, we thank you for your dedication to the Colorado Parade of Ponds and the charity missions that it has supported."

Product Update For all the latest Aquascape information you can go to the Aquascape Master Catalog on our web site, including parts breakdowns for many of the most popular items. All the major pond liner manufacturers have announced a price increase effective July 1 but True Pump has decided we will NOT BE INCREASING our liner pricing to better serve our customers. Finally, we need to announce that Pond Balance is no longer available. Raw materials have increased to the point that the primary U.S. importer of this product has decided to no longer carry it. A couple great alternatives for string algae control are D-Solv9, SAB or EcoBarley.

Water Gardening 101 What should I do for my water lilies if they're damaged in a hail storm? You should fertilize damaged lilies as soon as possible after they are damaged to speed up their recovery. Also, it's a good idea to wait a couple days before trimming the damaged pads and stems to avoid shocking the plant too badly. Water lilies are very resilient and should bounce back within a week or two.
