Scale Frame Format. Set Brief Investigating scale, frame and format. Taking a everyday object and making it work across a scale. Thankfully my given object was a ‘trainer’ Something I have plenty of primary research in.

BA (Hons) Graphic Design Book belly band. Belly band design for the Graphic Design year 1 students books to fit in with the departments visual identity. The idea was to create a belly band that one, kept the books together and closed, as they were all hotdog fold format and two to create functional and legible packaging for the books as each student had a edition of 20. The band was fixed with a vinyl sticker.

Branding & Visual identity. Mitternacht. Branding and identity designed for ‘no nonsense ‘techno’ night, Mitternacht based in Manchester with heavy influences from Berlin & Detroit. The idea was to create a strong visual logo playing on the German word for mid- night ‘mitternacht’.

Urban Outfitters The brief was to produce a piece of 2D artwork inspired by the theme of Street Style and the association between music, subcultures and the fashion of the street. I chose to interpret this brief through the argument of ‘vinyl is better than MP3’ using quotes from musicians and DJ’s who favour the medium. Although MP3’s are the ultimate in availability, I wanted to get across that the influx of buying music over the interest has killed a culture of independent record stores which in most cases start of scenes within the underground music industry.

MTV’s Top ten MC’s of All time. Program titles and packaging for MTV’s top ten MC’s of all time. Package includes promtional material including branded 3d glasses and a special edition 3d animation. Video Availible To View Here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QInvfqfq l6k&feature=related

Branding & Visual identity Kestrel Film Works. Branding and identity designed for Kestrel Film Works production company based in Sheffield. Kestrel film works is a contemporary production company focusing on work within the culture sector. The aim was to create a portfolio site that was clean, legible and contemporary. The Theme from the web site was then taken to be used for Kestrel’s promotional and branded material.

Visual identity, Promotional material, Reverend Sound System. Collaborating alongside other’s, the aim was to create a visual identity for ‘RSS’, Reverend & The makers new side project, that not only appeals to a current fans base but also to a new younger audience As well as the visual identity there was also promotional motion graphic videos to ‘brain wash’ the audience as RSS played and branded stickers to get up as much publicity for as cheap as possible.

Why’s the party Always at My house. My friends house was filled with bare frames and space on the wall. He sed “ ere your into that graphic, arty stuff, do us some posters for my walls”. So for part of his wedding present I sed OK, the theme had to be music as my client was a informed DJ. The aim was to create a poster that could be hung within a home environment based around a theme of music.
