ART GALLERY

Located next to the north entrance for ITESM Campus Monterrey, the gallery’s main purpose is to showcase the work of students from the annexed building, where the art school is located. Recently opened, this section of the school is receiving prominent attention, with a great location inside the campus and between the arts and architecture buildings.

BRT STATION

The city of Monterrey currently faces a strong public transport problem. BRT routes are being proposed to the governement and some are being implemented. One of the proposed routes passes through the center of the city and heads north. The site chosen for the station connects the metro, located just two blocks south.

CARITAS CENTER III ARCHITECTURE STUDENT BIENNALE NOMINEE (Nuevo Le贸n, M茅xico) CARITAS is a philantropic association that works within Monterrey, Mexico. The main headquarters of the association are currently in a state of chaos, being made out of add-ons constructed through the years. The project for their new HQ is to be built in a new location where they can provide enough and adequate space for the people they help. This site is located next to their huge food warehouses, which turned into a challenge when figuring out the placement of the buildings. The buildings contain open spaces that are dynamic in all their uses.

LEVEL 0

The organization needed spaces that could function as offices, meeting rooms, and clinics. The open spaces, along with their common patio, give a freedom to the site in the way it can be managed.

LEVEL 1

The site contained an old pool which was repurposed as an auditorium needed by CARITAS for their monthly events and conferences. The construction gives a warm and welcoming feeling to all its users through patios and light materials.

EXPO MILANO 2015

CONCEPT MODEL OF HOW PLAYING WITH THE TOPOGRAPHICAL SURFACE WORKS TO CREATE A FOREST FEELING ALONG WITH A POROUS STRUCTURE FUNCTIONING AS SHADE.

International Workshop Cocoa Pavillion Concept During three weeks, designers from all over the world were invited to participate in workshop where the concepts for EXPO Milano 2015 pavillions we gonna be developed. Three designers from a designated country would work with six designers from Italy, mostly students from Politecnico di Milano. The cocoa pavillion developed from the concept of a forest, focusing on the ground and shades produced organically. The goal was to give the user the experience of walking through this ever changing atmosphere, light and shade at different angles and heights, that immerses the user.

WOODEN FRAME BASE

CHILDREN’S PLAYGROUND CONCEPT The task at hand was to develop a replicable playground in underdeveloped neighborhoods around the city. Using the ehtnic tribe of the Huicholes, who reside within the northern-central part of Mexico, as inspiration, the playground develops from wooven wooden frames. The frames are then stacked into levels that generate an ever changing playground. TYPES OF WOODEN FRAME PLAN AND SECTION
