A LAMP BY ROMEO REGA

Romeo Rega was based in Rome, and despite his success created furniture for only a relatively short period of time, between 1974 and 1981. Rega’s work characterises the shift from the organic, moulded shapes of Ponti and the immediate post-war Italian school, to a harder edged geometry that relied on layers of contrasting metals for decoration, and a more masculine solidity of form.
