Szeged Open-Air Festival The Szeged Open Air Festival is Hungary's largest open-air theater event. The festival began in 1931, reset after a 20-year break in 1959, and is held annually over two summer months and offers a program of dance shows, opera and concerts in a mobile auditorium especially set-up front To the Cathedral of the University the city of Szeged. Victor Vasarely Victor Vasarely was born in Hungary in 1906 He is a very famous Hungarian painter in Hungary. He plays with the views of the people. His specialty is op-art. He makes a lot of paintings for example: Gestalt-Tri, Vega Ball,Vega Boo‌ His paintings are very colourful so they transmits energy


Hungarian Parliament We can find this building next to Danubio. It was built in 1884. The architect was Imre Steindl. It is the oldest building in Hungary. There are organized visits to the groups with different languages. It is decorated with marble and gold. You can arrive to Parliament by tram 2. It is one of the most beautiful building in Europe. When you see it with its reflection on the water, it inspires you power and serenity


Palace of Kecskémet Kecskemét is a city located in the central part of Hungary. There we can find the palace of Kecskemét. The characteristics of this building are the flowers and animals drawn on its façade. This decoration is inspired in the nature. In its interior there is a museum that contains paintings of Hungarian painters. The colourful front of the building, transmits calm and optimistic feelings


Erkel Ferenc He was a famous composer, conductor and pianist. Erkel Ferenc working to create a unique style of Hungarian opera, in fact, he is considered the father of Hungarian grand opera. He wrote his creations, recitatives and dance scenes in Hungarian language.

He composed the music of national anthem of Hungary. This composition transmits proud and hope


Flower festival of Debrecen Debrecen has organised the Flower Carnival since 1966 and it has grown into one of the most popular festival not only of the city but of Hungary as well. In the beginning only Hungarian groups participated, but after a few years foreign groups were also invited. This Flower Carnival is held on 20 August every year, a national holiday when Hungarians celebrate the foundation of the Hungarian State. For this reason, this flower festival is very important.

The flowers and the colour of this carnival transmit positive feelings and life


Petรถh Sรกndor Petรถh Sรกndor was a Hungarian poet of Romanticism. As a young man, he began to make his first poem related to the traditions of his country. The fundamental themes of his lyric were love and freedom.

He created the national song of his country.


This piece of the poem/ National song means that Hungarians want freedom. In Hungarian “Fényesebb a láncnál a kard, Jobban ékesíti a kart,

Munkรกcsy Mihaly Munkรกcsy Mihaly was a famous Hungarian painter. He gained reputation with his large-scale biblical paintings. In 1869, Munkรกcsy painted The Last Day of a Condemnned man, considered his first masterpiece. This painting was rewarded with the gold medal of the parlor of Paris in 1870.

This picture, with its dark colours, transmits fear, burden and loneliness because we suppose that this man will dead.

Statue of liberty The Liberty Statue or Freedom Statue (Hungarian: SzabadsĂĄg-szobor) is a monument on the GellĂŠrt Hill in Budapest. It was first erected in 1947 in remembrance of the Soviet liberation of Hungary from Nazi forces during World War II. The 14 metre tall bronze statue stands atop a 26 metre pedestal and holds a palm leaf. Several smaller statues are also present around the base,The monument was originally designed by Zsigmond Kisfaludi StrĂłbl.

It commemorates those who sacrificed their lives for the independence, freedom, and prosperity of Hungary, so it represents the force and the victory


Kodรกly Zoltan Kodaly Zoltan was a Hungarian composer, ethnomusicologist, pedagogue, linguist, and philosopher, but he is well known internationally as the creator of the Kodรกly Method: It is an approach to music education developed in Hungary during the midtwentieth century by Zoltรกn Kodรกly. His philosophy of education served as inspiration for the method, which was then developed over a number of years by his associates. In 2016, the method was inscribed as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage The Kodรกly method uses a child-developmental approach to sequence, introducing skills according to the capabilities of the child. He used the music and all the feelings that it transmit, as tool for the learning


Avaluation We must say that, before this investigations we knew very few things of the Hungarian culture. Now we can say that we were surprised about the beauty, the colour and the strength of its buildings, music, paintings and traditions. Hungary is an awesome country!
