As 2013 rolls in, there are many new and exciting opportunities in our community. At the summit in northern Missouri and for nearly half a century, the Lee’s Summit Chamber has held steadfast to our vision statement and successfully “created opportunities for business success through networking, advocacy, and business and professional development”. All accomplished with the support of members like you. Like many other organizations, the last few years have been challenging; however, I am so grateful to our dedicated board and members who are willing to keep their nose to the grindstone and work hard to keep our Chamber flourishing.
Lee’s Summit is a very diverse business community. We are the eyes and ears of the market, which helps us to prepare our members for the future. We set out to ensure that our members are able to continue growing in this ever-changing world. What a grand time it is to be a Lee’s Summit Chamber member! As a community, we must stick together and support our local businesses. We are a very strong Chamber – third largest in the greater Kansas City area. The Lee’s Summit Chamber is leading the charge in developing beneficial programs including: • BOOST Lee’s Summit, an entrepreneurial effort that takes “growing our own” to the next level • Recess for Success, the Chamber’s Professional Development seminars • Wake Up to Success, the Chamber’s Work/Life Balance seminars
