Grab your lederhosen and dirndl and head to downtown Lee’s Summit to join over 100,000 festival goers for this annual fall festival.

Tickets can be purchased at the ticket booth and cost $1 each, 40 for $35 or 80 for $60. Each ride takes 3-4 tickets. The carnival remains open from noon-4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 25 for wristband day–$25 per person, all you can ride!

The juried Arts & Crafts Fair features local and regional artists displaying unique handmade crafts, collectibles and original works of art in a number of mediums. Over 80 vendors will showcase their talents for the public to view and purchase.

10 a.m. Wagon Parade Begins

To kick off the festivities, join us for a Umzug der Wagen (Parade of Wagons) on Saturday morning at 10 a.m. Not just any parade, this will be a small parade of decorated wagons pulled through the heart of the festival. The parade will begin in the Volkerzelt (The People’s Tent) at 220 SE Main St. and end at the Main Stage on Green Street.

Authentic German Fun & Bingo

Saddle up in the Biergarten from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday to taste the refreshing creations of our local home brewers! Attendees are invited to sample over 40 different brews and vote for their favorite brewer.

The cost is $30 per person and registration includes a tasting glass for sampling as many beers as you can in three hours (home brews only). Purchase your glasses in advance at LSoktoberfest.com.

Oktoberfest wouldn’t be complete without the excitement and entertainment of German food, music, dancing and a lot of crazy fun! Grab a seat in the people’s tent, conveniently located next to the Community Stage this year, for a great view of German entertainment and other local performances.

Steinhoisting Competition

Think you’ve got what it takes? Test your strength at 2:15 p.m. Saturday on the Main Stage. The object of the game is to hoist a full liter stein longer than anyone else. Competitors must use only one hand and steins must be held at arm’s length without spilling. One male and one female winner will be crowned. Must be 21 or older. Participation is limited.
