Welcome to Enriching Culture Lee’s Summit is a city that believes in the arts… all the arts. Whether it be music, theatrical or visual arts, it can all be enjoyed right here in our city.

Lee’s Summit Symphony

Each year, thousands of people enjoy the Lee’s Summit Symphony at five live concerts, pre-concert lectures and educational programming for youth. The goal of the Symphony is to bring high-quality symphonic music to more people through concerts, presentations and collaborations. The organization supports youth education and programs through partnerships with the Lee’s Summit R-7 School District, MCCLongview, and at the Holiday and Family Concerts, which celebrate and educate children about classical music and dance. Under music director Russ Berlin, more than 70 talented musicians with a passion for sharing their music with Lee’s Summit and the surrounding communities give hundreds of hours 20 •

MCC-Longview Cultural Arts Center

MCC-Longview Cultural Arts Center was designed to be an arts and entertainment venue as well as a community safety facility. In reality, it’s proven to be those things and more. The Center has hosted public community concerts, meetings, and professional art exhibits. It’s also being used for activities such as the Longview Art and World Music Festival, student art exhibits, and academic theater and music performances. Summit Theatre Group

In the fall of 2011 the Summit Theatre Group was founded by a group of diverse Lee’s Summit citizens that joined together to bring theatre back to our community. This new nonprofit is made up of actors from the area and other business professionals interested in theatre.
