Das einhundertste Jubiläumsjahr des Seelzer Rangierbahnhofs neigt sich seinem Ende zu. Bereits im Frühjahr 2008 begannen die vorbereitenden Organisationstätigkeiten, zu welchen sich mehrere „Seelze-Enthusiasten“ in einem Arbeitskreis zusammen fanden, um im Rahmen der Jubiläumsfeierlichkeiten gestalterisch tätig zu werden. Dieser Kreis der Helfer und Organisatoren wuchs ständig bis zum großen, öffentlichen Bahnhofsfest am 9. und 10. Mai 2009. Inzwischen können wir schon auf das Erreichte zurückblicken: Die Presseresonanz war sehr zufriedenstellend und für das anwesende Publikum konnte die Sparte „moderner Güterverkehr der DB AG“ verständlich vermittelt werden. Die Blicke hinter die Kulissen eines der modernsten Rangierbahnhöfe zeigten den Besuchern die deutliche Wandlung der früheren Güterbahn zu einem neuzeitlich aufgestellten Gütertransport- und Logistikunternehmen. Hier konnte eine positive Meinungsbildung erreicht werden, die noch lange über das Jubiläumsjahr 2009 Bestand haben wird.

Der Inhalt stammt zum Großteil aus den Kameras von Werner Nimtz, Andreas Schulze, Gerald Miska, Hans-Jürgen Uhlig, Hans-Joachim Bielefeld, Horst Bartels und Petra Bülow. Die Feinsortierung und das Layout übernahm Jürgen Werner. Die Aufnahmen wurden thematisch geordnet. Auf größere Texterläuterungen wurde verzichtet, da diese Bilder sehr aussagekräftig sind und dadurch größeren Bildformaten der Vorzug gegeben wurde.

Die digitale Fototechnik ermöglichte es, dass uns nach den Veranstaltungen weit über 2000 Aufnahmen von verschiedenen (Hobby-)Fotografen zur Verfügung standen. Schon bei der erforderlichen Vorsortierung und Vorauswahl wurde deutlich, dass sehr viele Helfer und Akteure im Bild gezeigt wurden, die rund um die Veranstaltungen im Einsatz waren. Um auch diesen Mithelfern eine bleibende Erinnerung der Seelzer Jubiläumstage zu bieten, wurde beschlossen dieses Bildheft zu gestalten. Es ist auch ein weiteres „Dankeschön“ an die, die zur klaglosen Umsetzung der Jubiläumsfeiern unterstützend beigetragen haben. Aufgrund der Anzahl und der hohen Abbildungsqualität der Fotos wurde ein gedrucktes Heft zunächst einer elektronischen Verteilung (CD) vorgezogen.
Ich wünsche Ihnen viel Spaß beim Betrachten der Erinnerungsfotos über ein rundum geglücktes Eisenbahnjubiläum.
