BRIEFLY Mary Kate Short is in her third season with LMU swimming... AT LMU 2011-12... swam a season best 1:57.98 in the 200 freestyle... swam a season best 5.05.83 in the 500 freestyle... swam a season best 17:32.88 in the 1650 freestyle... swam a season best 4.35.43 in the 400 IM... 2010-11... made an instant impact in distance events for LMU throughout the season, earning “Freshman of the Year” and “Most Improved” awards after dropping over 25 seconds in the 1650, 10 seconds in the 400 IM and eight seconds in 500 freestyle... qualified for the consolation finals at the MPSF Championships, finishing 14th in the 400 IM with a 4:32.89, fourth-fastest in LMU history and16th in the 1650 with the second-fastest time in LMU history (17:21.30)... was also 22nd in the 500 freestyle with a 5:04.61, fourth in LMU history... swam to lifetime-best times in the 100 and 200 butterfly, and 100 and 200 freestyle throughout the season... a Click here for full bio
