2009 (FRESHMAN) Named honorable mention All-West Coast Conference as a freshman… garnered a spot on the WCC All-Freshman team after a breakout first season… started 57 of LMU’s 59 games at shortstop, playing in 58 total games… amassed 17 multiple-hit games, placing fourth on the team… posted nine multiple-RBI games, third on the squad overall and first in terms of freshmen… batted .259 with 28 runs scored, 10 doubles, five home runs and 41 RBI… RBI and home run marks placed third on the team… five sacrifice flies led all players… finished the year ranked 89th in the NCAA in sacrifice bunts with nine, third on the team in that category… in WCC games alone, batted .308 with 14 runs scored, seven doubles, four home runs and 23 RBI… slugged .551 and reached base at a .329 clip in WCC play… placed fifth in the conference, and first on the team, in RBI in WCC games alone, seventh in home runs and 10th in doubles… recorded eight multiple-hit games and a team-high tying six multiple-RBI games in 20 WCC contests… posted six of the best games of his season from March 28 to April 4… hit safely in five of the six contests over that span, batting .423 with three doubles, two home runs, four runs scored, 20 total bases and 16 RBI… slugged .769, reached base at a .429 clip and collected multiple-RBI in five of the six games, including four in back-to-back games against Santa Clara on March 29 and then-No. 8 UC Irvine on March 31… had a seasonhigh four hits, including his first career home run, against Santa Clara on March 29… season-high five RBI came against Holy Cross on February 28… biggest home run came in the first game of the WCC Championship Series when he connected on a solo-homer in the top of the ninth to give LMU a 3-2 lead... hit .324 against left-handed pitching… recorded a .417 batting average with the bases loaded… a clutch hitter, collected 13 two-out RBI…
