Context I am a designer concerned with print based solutions in the fields of branding and publishing design created primarily for the fashion and culture sectors, using a mix of both type and image. I also have a strong interest in copywriting and the importance of communicating successfully through both language and design.
Brief or Tasks The brief is to create a yearbook for the Art and Design Interdisciplinary course at Leeds College of Art. You should create a concept and execute it to a professional standard, producing a ready to print publication that will be produced by a printers and distributed at the End of Year Show. Preparation/Research suggestions Research into past yearbooks, from Art and Design and other courses. Research into publications featuring a body of work, and research into layouts and presentation of the images. Also consider type and how to successfully communicate the personality and work of the course.
