Studio Brief Title: Brief 13: Print and Paste Synopsis: As part 1 of our Brief 10: Wireless Connections, myself and Hannah Watt decided to produce a poster submission for Print and Paste, a Manchester based poster initiative designed for artists and designers to produce artwork that provides positive social commentary. Myself and Hannah based our design on promoting the art of letter writing over using social media to make friends. List of deliverables

I will blog this under the module codes ‘OUGD603’, ‘OUGD603: Design Practice’, ‘Brief 13: Print and Paste’ and ‘Brief 13: Context’. I will produce an A1 poster that will be mocked up on the blog.
Evaluation: This brief took place over the space of a couple of days, and so we have only produced something small for this project. However, in the space of a couple of days myself and Hannah were able to produce a poster that we both felt really happy with, and we worked really well together. The strengths in this brief were the use of hand rendered type and illustration. If I were to do it again, then I would want to print the brief and photograph it, but as it was a very tight deadline we just wanted to mock it up. I would also want to experiment with the colour choices a little more, as well as the playing the layout.
