Studio Brief Title: Brief 12: YCN Oasis Synopsis: The brief was set by YCN and Oasis to produce a range of creative suite messages for the fashion brand that they can use across different seasons, both online and in store. The brief’s mandatory requirements stated that the messages would be enough, but I have extended the brief to include pitches for how the messages could be implemented visually. List of deliverables

I will blog this under the module codes ‘OUGD603’, ‘OUGD603: Design Practice’, ‘Brief 12: YCN Oasis’ and ‘Brief 12: Context’. I will produce a range of messages, as well as mock ups of the products that would be seen in store and online. I will also create submission boards to submit to YCN.
Evaluation: My main strength in this brief has been the actual copy that I have written for the competition. I feel that I have researched into the market well and have successfully aimed my copy at the Oasis audience. Visually, I think there is definitely a lot of room for improvement within this brief. As it was only supposed to be a short brief, I did not allow myself much time for visual development, which therefore affected the designs, and if I had to do the brief again, I would want to work more on the visuals, for example improving the layout of the type and perhaps choosing a different typeface. I think that I have thought of appropriate formats for the brand, but I would have liked to have printed the products and produced them to a professional standard, unfortunately due to time and money I was unable to do this.
