“Though we return some starters on each side the of the ball, we need some players to step up,” Altomare said. “We must stay healthy in order to compete. We also need to develop an identity on offense and find playmakers. “We have to eliminate our mistakes and turnovers this year to be competitive.”

The Bears win whenever their defense plays well. Last season, they gave up an average of 7.5 points and 99 yards rushing in their four wins and 28.2 points and 228 yards rushing in their six losses. “Our players are very hard working with a desire to win, so it makes it easy to coach,” Altomare said.
