It’s funny how as you age, you gravitate back to your early childhood experiences. I have always been a lover of texture and sewn products. But when it came to sewing, I wasn’t very good at it. I didn’t like following patterns because I prefer to look at something and figure out my own way of creating it. I refer to my products as Mixed Stitch Media because my items are made with recycled book paper sewn in between two pieces of canvas fabric. The sewing already done on them allows you to have a finished product that looks like you did the sewing.

As my orders grew, I needed to outsource their creation, so I sought out two wonderful companies that both hire people with disabilities to do the work. They have been so wonderful to work with and I’m happy to be contributing to the employment of people with disabilities. Please know when you purchase my products you’re doing the same! While I owned my mixed media retail shop teaching others how to get started in creating their very own work of art, I unintentionally started to develop my own canvas products. It was a great way to add texture and then the look of sewing in my projects. Before I knew it, in my second year of product development, I had over 150 different products! That was a bit much to handle. So I’ve scaled back and now offer what I believe are extremely functional products for the artist and crafter. My products are designed for you to add the look of sewing to your projects without having to do any sewing at all! I hope you embrace your creativity and try out my canvas products.
