Do you ever look at your drawings and doodles and wish you could watch them wiggle, kick, wink, or shake? With animation, you can! We will watch drawn animations from different times and places, have workshops and assignments that cover basic techniques, and do LOTS and LOTS of drawing! Three projects will be completed throughout the course: a classcollaborative “Exquisite Corpse” morph animation, an abstract “doodle” cycled animation, and a short looped animation of your own imagined character walking. Lots of hard work, and lots of fun!
Drop-in to create with clay as a family! Our teacher will guide you and your family in a clay project that is appropriate for all ages. Reservations are encouraged, as there is limited space.

( 5 WEEKS ) Learn to see color in new ways and discover the joy of the tactile experience of working with charcoal, pastel, watercolor, and acrylic paint. Saturday 10-11:30am

OPTICAL ILLUSIONS ( 5 WEEKS ) Enter the world of optical art and learn how to create amazing illusions! With only simple lines you will give your art perspective and use tricks of the eye to amaze your friends! Use a compass and straight edge to make stunning optical art inspired by Victor Vasarely and other op artists. Students will learn about mathematical transformations and use the fundamentals of plane geometry and angle measurement. Saturday 10-11:30am

WHEELTHROWING CAMP
Ages 5-8
Learn the exciting skill of wheelthrowing! Campers will learn the basics required to throw pottery and express their personal ideas on the wheel.
Children spend the day working in clay and other media, developing handbuilding skills and working in multimedia to create fantastic pots, critters, and other creations! March 25-29

FAMILY WORKSHOPS These workshops are a wonderful opportunity to work together on theme projects, and bring laughter, smiles, and great new crafts into your life! All workshops are 2 hours long and meant for adults and children ages 5+. $30 per person

MOTHER’S DAY HANDPRINTS What better gift than a child’s handprint forever preserved in clay? We’ll use our handprints, stamps, and simple handbuilding techniques to create a lasting keepsake. Sunday, April 21, 2-4pm
MUG MUGS What drink doesn’t taste better in a handmade mug? How about a handmade mug adorned with the face of your favorite person, character, or animal? We’ll use our hands and clay to make a functional piece of art. Perfect gift for Father’s Day! Saturday, May 19, 2-4pm
