PLAN Families, especially Evangelical/Protestant families who have been financially successful, are facing enormous challenges, and the impending $168 Trillion wealth transfer over the next decade is largely ignored by the church. The focus on generosity alone might harm families, as they possess strong financial balance sheets but lack in other critical areas. Currently, these families are mainly served by external service providers rather than by a network of mobilized volunteer like-minded families, leaving other crucial aspects beyond finances untouched. Enter Flourishing Family, an organization we’ve revitalized from its strong ten year legacy. With a fresh perspective, we’ve transformed it into a platform run by families, for families. Our emphasis is on qualitative, rather than quantitative, aspects of wealth for families of wealth. Our mission is to empower these families and the next generations, fostering a private, story-driven community led by families themselves. This community is shaped by families aspiring to establish legacies lasting 100-200 years. We believe in learning not just from financial successes, but from failures and triumphs across various dimensions of wealth—spiritual, relational, social impact, and individual wellbeing. We call these the nonfinancial capitals. Flourishing Family aims to prepare families for the challenges of the future, offering a unique space for shared experiences and wisdom. Our focus is on holistic prosperity, transcending traditional financial measures to create meaningful, lasting legacies for generations to come.

P RO B L E M 70% families of wealthy suffer a significant loss of financial capital in the third generation primarily because of losses of the relational, human, social and/or spiritual capital of the

family. Yet it is quite difficult for these families to find safe peer relationships, best practices, and inspiration needed to help each generation flourish in these non-financial forms of wealth which foster true and lasting abundance.

PU RPOSE FAMILIES OF WEALTH FLOURISH ING FOR MANY GENERATIONS OUR MISSION: to guide families in cultivating trusting relationships, thoughtful governance, and compelling road maps to make consistent progress to flourishing relationally, spiritually, individually and in their impact on society. OUR VISION: Families of Wealth flourishing for many generations. EXPANDED VISION: To be a collaborative community of family leaders and their trusted advisors empowering families to flourish In the spiritual, relational, human, and social capitals and therefore financially in a way that transforms millions for many generations. OUR FUTURE: Imagine a world where the new norm is wealthy families experiencing healthy bonds of trust, unity and purpose making a stronger impact for God‘s highest good in each successive generation for hundreds of years!

P RI M A R Y TA R G E T Multigenerational families with networth of over $25M who want to develop or improve one or more of the following: •

family relational health (relational capital)

shared family spirit, faith, values, or purpose (spiritual capital)

character, competency, health, or personal capacity for each generation (human capital)

Impact of the family and its businesses or investments on society (social capital)

P RI M A R Y OUTCOME Extended famlies that flourish for many generations are those who focus on intentionally developing and transferring to each successive generation the following four non-financial forms of family wealth:

RELATIONAL Extended family members have deep bonds of affinity and shared culture across the generations. They listen to each other well without judgment, and build healthy relationships that honor and respect the uniqueness of one another.

SPIRITUAL Everyone has a shared understanding and dynamic experience of the role of faith in the family. The cultural DNA and family story is captured and shared in a way where each generation builds on the prior generation while being empowered to craft their own destiny.

HUMAN The character, competencies, confidence and health of each family member is being intentionally developed and transferred so each generation is experiencing the benefits of all five forms of capital.

SOCIAL The family has deep understanding and compassion for the needs and concerns of society resulting in specific commitment and action to serve people and the planet in a way that systematically builds a better world over the generations.

P RO C E S S We use a highly relational, guided process to help families identify what they are going to focus on next, engaging them in learning from best practices and conversations with other families and advisors. Together, they provide practical guidance and encouragement needed to take those next steps. Then the family repeats this process with each next family capital development priority. Some of these families will be available to encourage other families in these same areas. DESIGN PHASE Over the last 9 months we have been engaged in the design phase, including multiple onsites with the Co-Founder of Family Meridian, the new Chairman of the Board, and a working group with Kyle Circle, our new president, and Brett Eastman and the LifeTogether team. To date, the following initiatives have been discussed and outcomes achieved. 1. Design the breadth, size and scope of the emerging Flourishing Family vision from the Founder and New Board Chairman. 2. Design any and all published and unpublished resources created and used over the last 9 years to shape the thinking, inform the strategy, and influence the vision for Flourishing Family. 3. Design the role of producing, publishing, and programming “core resources” to help ensure quality control, resourcing peer networks, transferability, and scalability. 4. Design a better understanding of the “Core Resources” needed to build a strong, sustainable, and scalable organization to Flourishing Families. 5. Design how to build out the Flourishing Family digital library (including content from the collective, peer to peer, partners, ministries, thought leaders, and of course your own).

DESIGN PHASE 1. Discovered multiple ways to repurpose, rebrand, and reshoot historical Family Meridian resources, books, and content…(Jerry’s books, Family Institute resources, curriculum, training series, other content, courses, and more). 2. Discovered initial ideas for branding, positioning, and marketing for Flourishing Family (including logos, tags, curriculum covers, book designs, and more).

3. Discovered a variety of possible terminology, titles, descriptions, and roles needed to start and scale the vision anywhere, anytime with anyone around the world. 4. Discovered more and better ways to engage families in the Core Process outlined in the initial vision, mission and values documents. 5. Discovered thoughts on building a fully secure and certificated training program and platform (Flourishing Family University) leveraging the best of technology and media to help train volunteer families, build content library, and certify partner organizations. 6. Discovered ways to integrate the breakthrough thinking of “beyond business” by Lonnie. 7. Discovered multiple revenue streams and possibilities to create a self sustaining business model in addition to the current list of funding models. 8. Discovered ways we could partner with the upcoming Family Office Conference where we could capture premiere content from “families helping families” based on our new vision and values.

Over the last few years we sampled a handful of families who attended our events and they provided valuable feedback that informed some of the products and services we hope to provide in the future.

PUBLISHING: Building a sustainable and eventually scalable enterprise will require the development of a series of transferable books, handbooks, training manuals, and curriculum to bring this vision to life. In fact, one of the highest rated felt needs from our alumni is the need for fully interactive member curriculum and training materials. Over the next 4-6 months we intend to outline and created the “Core Resource” needed to ensure cultivation of the “Flourishing Four” wealth capitals. These published resources, whether digital or physical, will help to train and develop a scalable army of volunteers, fulfilling every role (currently seven major roles) of our peer to peer family mentoring strategy. All this will help to turn the “flywheel” on to our core process, helping to ensure we have a transferable and scalable model for years to come.

D E L I E V E R A B L E We will publish the Flourishing Family trade book, companion curriculum series, and the first volume (either spiritual or relational) in the five part series.

5. PRODUCTION: In this post-Covid era the need for “both/and” strategies to compliment live, in person, and one one one experiences is more important than ever. We will be exploring more and better ways to leverage the power of media to deliver and distribute all forms of teaching, training and testimonies. This model will also help to ensure that all live events will not just be a “transactional” event but a part of a “transformational” process for
