under a thick canopy of pines and cedars. Meeting old friends at the dock to reflect on our many blessings and hopping on a SUP board when the lake was still and clear. From our deck which faces a 90-acre conservancy, I watched a pair of pileated woodpeckers, prehistoric-looking birds, work on a long-gone hollow tree trunk with their bright red plume bobbing against the blue summer sky. Now, as families get back into the groove of school, sports, extracurriculars, work and traffic, we need to keep that carefree feeling alive. I bought some slide-in screens for the windows in our old house that were odd-sized so I can feel any whiff of a breeze. I’ll keep a pitcher of lemonade in the refrigerator and invite my neighbors to come sit on the porch awhile. I will keep this magazine’s calendar pages open to remind of the concerts, festivals and farmers markets happening every weekend.

“BELLE DAME” TRANSLATES TO BEAUTIFUL WOMAN IN FRENCH, AND THE STAFF AT ST BELLE DAME BELIEVES THAT TRUE BEAUTY COMES FROM WITHIN. Isn't that refreshing? "We want to offer only the best to allow true, inner beauty to shine without the need for reliance on artificial beauty standards created by the industry," says owner Sam Kim. "In order to do this, our team of professionals use a stringent vetting process that allows for only specially curated, top rated beauty and skincare products to be offered." The Peachtree Corners cosmetics and skincare boutique provides everything beauty-related from skincare to at-home facial skincare devices to makeup. We asked about their recommended top products for this season for our readers. Here's the beautiful scoop!

12

Johns Creek Lifestyle | September 2019

1. BEST PRODUCT FOR A SPECIAL NIGHT OUT Kevyn Aucoin Glass Glow Face 3.

This highlighter is one of the loveliest makeup products that we carry. Not only is it easy to apply and super blendable, but it creates this ethereal and elegant glow to create an illuminated and flawless complexion that is perfect for your special night out. 2. BEST PRODUCT FOR LONG-TERM EFFECT Plabeau Plabeau is a great alternative for anyone looking to get facial treatments because it is a non-invasive skincare device that can be used in the comfort of your own home. Natural plasma ions are introduced to the skin to aid in regeneration, hyperpigmentation, wrinkle care, topical dermatitis, and more. The plasma ions also allow skincare to absorb deeper within the skin, meaning that skincare will be 2-3 times more effective. 3. STAFF PICK FOR FAVORITE PRODUCT TO USE AT HOME LEBODY Form

4.

LeBody Form is a mid-frequency massaging device that can be used for everyone. Whether it be breaking down stubborn cellulite, improving muscle tone, or aiding in aching muscles, this one device does all. We love that this is compact and easy to carry around because we’re always on the go. 4. BEST PRODUCTS FOR AGING SKIN Shiseido Future LX As our skin gets older, Serpin b3 levels elevate due to dryness and damage. However, the Shiseido Future Solution LX line contains Skingenecell 1P, which helps reduce these levels to restore skin cells and strengthen them. The inclusion of enmei, a herb used by monks for centuries due to its healing and restorative powers, also promotes cellular regeneration to create a total anti-aging skincare line.

5. 5. BEST TREATMENT/PRODUCT FOR A FIRST-EVER FACIAL LED mask treatment LED treatments are nice because they utilize different lightwaves to increase collagen and elastin production as well as treat acne and skin irritation issues to soothe the skin and stimulate faster regeneration. We offer fairly quick treatments that don't involve any pain which make them appropriate for anyone looking for a skin pick-me-up. 5230 Town Center Blvd Suite 140 Peachtree Corners StBelleDame.com 678.615.3767 E: stbelledame@gmail.com Mon – Sat: 11 AM – 8 PM Sun: 1 PM – 6 PM September 2019 | Johns Creek Lifestyle

Your polo outfit is not complete without a hat. Many opt for a beautiful wide-brimmed hat, but the sky is the limit! Fascinators have become popular in recent years. Fascinators are smaller headpieces worn on a headband or on a comb. For a classic yet casual look, try a fedora. Fedoras can be dressed up or down, have a modern yet understated edge, and add that perfect finishing touch to your polo ensemble. When dressing for polo, decide if you want your hat or your outfit to take center stage. If you want your outfit to shine, go more bold with bright colors, or fun florals and keep your hat simple. Furthermore, fall polo calls for darker-hued, florals, and patterns. If you decide your hat gets the attention, choose a solid-colored outfit. Think jumpsuits, or wide-leg trousers and a pretty blouse.

Men: Think classic, country club, attire. Chinos, dress pants, tailored shorts or well-cut jeans paired with shirts or polo shirts and a sport coat are the most typical choice for the guys. A fun, printed pocket square or tie gives the opportunity to add a pop of color. Slip on loafers and you are good to go. September 2019 | Johns Creek Lifestyle
