FIXUS 99 “Big brother” The Fixus 99 system is designed for long bones applications. It may essentially be regarded as the ´big brother´ of the Fixus 66, and is anodised black. The 99 system is particularly strong and intended for femoral use, or for tibial use when treating particularly heavy patients. JUST-ADD A similar compression/distraction system as with the Fixus 66 is included in the system. Only 1 product-specific tool is required to assemble or adjust the frame or compression/distraction device. The use of the alternative round pin holders in the pin clamping blocks allows a two pin configuration at stepless, convergent/divergent angles. Anticipated pin size lies between 5-6 mm. Material The Fixus 99 is manufactured from light weight aluminium and carbon composite material to allow for low profile, high resistance frames. All Fixus 99 aluminium components are anodised in black. The carbon rods are available in 4 different sizes.
