D i re c to r ’s No te Welcome to the Lawrence Arts Center’s Theatre in South Park, and our first production of SYT on this new stage! We are back in person, and we are thrilled to bring you outdoor theatre that centers on safety, fun, and being together. Great social justice theatre master Augusto Boal said, “Theatre is the art of looking at ourselves. ” The pandemic has made it clear that live theatre heals. Theatre reminds us what it means to be human and gives us the drive to keep going. The Lawrence Arts Center could not keep going without you, so we want to thank you. Thank you for your support and willingness to participate either virtually or in-person as an audience member, parent, student, teacher or patron. You are why we keep going. We are all in this together and could not do it without each other. As we continue to find new and better ways to connect, please consider adding your support to ensure the Lawrence Arts Center not only survives, but continues to thrive.

CLICK HERE TO DONATE Thank you to Rachel, Justin, Amelia, Jasper, Jaron, and Samaria for your tireless work in loading and unloading equipment, and staying positive while creating new experiences. The biggest thank you goes to the parents, families, and cast for your hard work rehearsing outdoors no matter what the weather! We invite you to sit back, relax, and enjoy our kick-off to a wonderful SYT season in the park! --Elizabeth Sullivan
