Im Juni 2012 wird im Biathlonzentrum „Grogg“ in Martell eine neue Skirollerbahn in Betrieb genommen. Dann steht eine abwechslungsreiche Schleife von 1,4 km Länge mit mehreren Auf- und Abstiegen zur Verfügung. Die Rollerbahn kann sowohl für Trainingszwecke alsItalien auch von Hobbyläufern genutzt werden. 1660

Das Langlauf- und Biathlonzentrum Martell, im Westen Südtirols, verfügt über 12 km bestens präparierte Pisten und der ersten elektronischen Schießanlage (HoRa 2000) Italiens. Durch die ideale Höhenlage (1.700 m) zählt es zu den schneesichersten Gebieten im gesamten Alpenraum (Ende November bis Ende März).

Il centro sci fondo e biathlon Val Martello è situato nella parte occidentale dell’Alto Adige. Il centro dispone di 12 km di piste per sci fondo ed il poligono più moderno d’Italia (tipo HoRa 2000). Il centro è ubicato ad un‘altezza di 1.700 m e grazie a questa altitudine è il centro con la maggior sicurezza di neve nelle alpi (da fine novembre a fine marzo).

The cross-country skiing and biathlon center Martell lies in the estern part of South Tyrol. The center has 12 km of ski tracks and the most modern shooting rang in Italy with 30 electric targets „HoRa 2000“. The center lies on a sea level of 1.700 mt. Because of its altitude it is the center with the best snow probabilities in the alps with snow from to the end of November tot he end of March.

The hospital curch was donated by Heinrich von Annenberg. The original gothicconstruction’s consolidation into one building dates back to 1470 – 1520. Schloss Goldrain

Die Burgkapelle gehört zu den sehenswertesten Kirchen Südtirols. Enthält Fresken aus dem 15. Jh. der lombardischen, niederländischen und bayrischen Schule. Öffnungszeiten: Wegen Restaurierungsarbeiten Infos über aktuelle Öffnungszeiten 2012 im Tourismusbüro Latsch oder unter Tel. +39 347-5083740 (Frau Weber). La cappella del castello è sicuramente una delle chiese più interessanti dell’Alto Adige. La cappella custodisce preziosi affreschi del XV sec. della scuola lombarda, olandese e bavarese. Fu nominata nel 1510. Da sempre meta di pellegrinaggio dei contadini. La chiesa è aperta da Pasqua fino alla fine di ottobre. The church was mentioned in 1510. Age-old place of pilgrimage for the peasants. The church is open from Easter to the end of October.

Schloss Churburg

Castel Coira | Castle Churburg Schluderns-Sluderno Der Name der Burg begegnet uns das erste Mal in einer Urkunde, die Bischof Heinrich am 21. Februar 1259 in „Curberch“ ausstellt. Der Name und die Lage der Burg am Eingang ins Matscher Tal, in dem die Vögte von Matsch ihre Stammburg hatten, machen es zur Gewissheit, dass die Churburg jene Burg war, die dem Bischof kurz vorher „frey unverhinderlich“ zu erbauen gestattet worden war. Öffnungszeiten: 20. 03. bis 31.10.2012 von 10.00 – 12.00 und 14.00 – 16.30 Uhr. Montag geschlossen, mit Ausnahme an Feiertagen.

St. Karpophoruskirche

Der romanische Turm zählt zu den schönsten Denkmälern Vinschgauer Romanik. Kapelle St. Maria in der Schmelz

Cappella S. Maria i.d.S.| Chapel „St. Maria i.d.S." (Wallfahrtskirche Unsere liebe Frau im Walde im Martelltal – chiesa di pellegrinaggio in Val Martello – church of pilgrimage). Die Kapelle wurde 1711 vom Grafen Hendl für seine Knappen erbaut, der Turm im Jahre 1856. Die Kirche ist geöffnet. La cappella fu costruita nel 1711 dai Conti Hendl per i propri minatori. Il campanile risale a 1856. La chiesa è aperta. The chapel was built in 1711 by Count Hendl for his pages, the tower in the year 1856. The church is open.

Troviamo per la prima volta il nome del castello in un documento che il vescovo Enrico scrive il 21 febbraio 1259 nel „Curberch“. Il nome e la località del castello, posto all’entrata della valle di Mazia, dove i balivi avevano la propria sede di famiglia, ci danno la certezza che il Castel Coira è proprio quel castello che il vescovo poco prima aveva ricevuto il diritto di costruire „senza intralcio alcuno“. Alte Staumauer

La vecchia diga | Old dam wall Martelltal-Val Martello Nach der Überschwemmung 1891 wurde die alte Talsperre erbaut. Von der heimischen Bevölkerung wird sie heute nur „Bau“ genannt. Die riesigen Steinblöcke der Mauer befinden sich auf dem Wanderweg zur Marteller Hütte. La diga è stata costruita dopo la grande inondazione del 1891. Si tratta di un vero e proprio sbarramento della valle. Gli abitanti la chiamano semplicemente „Bau“ (la costruzione). I grandi massi di pietra sono visibili se si percorre il sentiero che conduce al „Rifugio Martello“

Wallfahrtskirche Zum Hl. Martin

Chiesa di pellegrinaggio di San Martino | Church of pilgrimage „Zum Hl. Martin“ St. Martin i. K. Die Kirche wurde 1510 erwähnt. Uralter Wallfahrtsort der Bauern. Die Kirche ist ab Ostern bis Ende Oktober geöffnet.

The old dam was constructed subsequent to the floods of 1891. The local population simply refers to them as the „Bau“. The enormous stone blocks belonging to the walls are present along the hiking trail to the „Marteller Hütte“ mountain refuge.

Kloster Marienberg

Abbazia Marienberg | Monastery Marienberg Burgeis-Burgusio Die Benediktinerabtei Marienberg ist eine Stiftung der Edlen von Tarasp aus dem 12. Jh. Die Krypta von Marienberg wurde im Jahr 1160 vom sel. Adalgott, Bischof von Chur, geweiht und diente als erster Gottesdienstraum für das Chorgebet und die Feier der Heiligen Messe. Es ist dies eines der größten Zeugnisse romanischen Kunstschaffens im Alpenraum. Aber nicht nur die künstlerische Qualität der Fresken besticht, auch der spirituelle Ausdruck dieses Werkes ist einzigartig. Aus Rücksicht auf den Erhaltungszustand ist die Krypta nur mehr wochentags zum Abendgebet (Vesper) ab 29.05. bis 27.10.2012 um 17.30 Uhr zugänglich.

30 L’Abbazia dei Benedittini di Montemaria fu fondata dai nobili di Tarasp alla fine del XII sec. La cripta di Montemaria, consacrata nel 1160 dal beato Adalgott, vescovo di Coira, fu il primo ambiente sacro destinato alla preghiera corale e alla celebrazione della Messa. Il ciclo dipinto dell’età romanica rientra tra le più importanti testimonianze artistiche dell’arco alpino. Oltre all’altissima qualità artistica degli affreschi è irripetibile e unica l’espressione dell’opera per preservare gli affreschi. La cripta è oggi riservata alla preghiera „vespri“ nei giorni feriali dal 29.05. al 27.10.2012 alle ore 17.30. Marienberg is a foundation of the noble family of the Tarasp dating back to the 12th century. Castel Juval | Juval Castel Kastelbell-Castelbello Die Burganlage, auf einem prähistorischen Platz, wurde von Hugo von Montalban um 1278 erbaut. 1368 zählt sie zum Besitz der Herren von Starkenberg und 1540, nach öfteren Besitzwechsel, erwirbt sie die Familie Sinkmoser. Damit erreicht sie ihre Blütezeit. Sie fällt dann dem Geschlecht der Hendl zu, die sie 1813 an den Bauern Josef Blaas verkaufen. Die Burg verfällt. 1913 kauft sie der holländische Kolonialherr William Rowland und saniert sie vorbildlich. Seit 1983 ist sie der Wohnsitz von Reinhold Messner, der mehrere Kunstsammlungen dort untergebracht hat. Reinhold Messner hat Juval saniert und dabei alle drei früheren Bauphasen respektiert. Öffnungszeiten: Ab 25.03 bis 30. Juni und vom 1. September bis zum ersten Sonntag im November von 10.00 – 16.00 Uhr. Mittwoch Ruhetag. Besichtigung nur mit Führung möglich. L’alpinista ha risanato Juval rispettando le tre diverse fasi della costruzione originale ed ha esposto negli spazi del maniero alcune sue collezioni d’arte. Eines der berühmtesten und meistbeschriebenen Denkmäler in Südtirol ist das St. Prokulus Kirchlein am Ortsrand von Naturns. Erbaut im 7. Jahrhundert in Gedenken an den heiligen Prokulus – Bischof von Verona und später als Viehpatron und Wasserheiliger verehrt – zählen die Fresken aus dieser Zeit (wir schreiben das vorkarolingische Zeitalter) zu den bedeutendsten Kunstschätzen in Mitteleuropa. Sehenswert sind auch die gotischen Fresken aus dem 14. Jh., die die Schöpfungsgeschichte darstellen. Öffnungszeiten: 27.03. – 04.11.2012 von 9.30 – 12.00 und 14.30 – 17.30 Uhr. La chiesa di S. Procolo sul limitare di Naturno è il monumento più spesso decantato dell’Alto Adige. Costruita nel VII secolo in commemorazione di San Procolo, vescovo di Verona e poi acclamato patrono degli animali e protettore delle acque, i suoi affreschi dell’epoca (trattasi di quell apre-carolingia) sono fra i più importanti tesori artistici dell’Europa centrale. The ArcheoParc is designed to give visitors an idea of how people lived 5.000 years ago. The museum includes clear explanation boards, pictures, films and exhibits from the Early Stone Age, a reconstruction of a prehistoric, dwelling outside, bread-baking, archery and ceramic work demonstrations and shows visitors how to make a flint and work leather. Erdbeerweg - Kostbare Natur

Der Nationalpark Stilfserjoch liegt im Herzen der Alpen und umschließt das Ortler-Cevedale Massiv. Das gesamte Martelltal und Teile der Ferienregion Latsch befinden sich in diesem Schutzgebiet. Als alpiner Nationalpark beherbergt er alle Formelemente und Lebensräume, von den Niederungen ausgehend bis zum vergletscherten Hochgebirge. Die große Artenvielfalt an Flora und Fauna hinterlässt beim Besucher einen bleibenden Eindruck. Das Nationalparkhaus culturamartell bietet im Sommer 2012 geführte Wanderungen im Nationalpark Stilfserjoch an (nähre Auskünfte erhalten Sie unter der Nummer: 0039/0473 745027 oder auf der Internetseite: www.culturamartell.com). Das Thema der Ausstellung in naturatrafoi, in Trafoi, ist das Leben an der Grenze. In avimundus, in Schlanders, kann man die Welt der Vögel bestaunen. Der Themenschwerpunkt der lahnersäge im Ultental liegt beim Wald und Holz. Die jeweiligen Nationalparkhäuser bieten auch Wechselausstellungen mit unterschiedlichen Inhalten an.

Bei Erdbeeren denkt man in Südtirol sofort an das Martelltal. Im Tal werden seit über 50 Jahren Beeren angebaut und die besondere Lage und das Klima bringen Früchte von ausgezeichneter Qualität hervor. Der Rundweg im Talboden bietet mit seinen Informationstafeln und Erlebnisstationen Einblicke in die Welt der Erdbeeren. Auf den Höfe sind Verkostungen von Beeren, Kräuter und Milchprodukte möglich. Geringe Steigungen und der attraktive Wegverlauf machen den Rundweg besonders für Familien interessant.

Wald-Berg-Bauer-Weg Waldberg heißt das Gebiet hoch oben im Martelltal unterhalb der Orgelspitze. Seit fast 1000 Jahren versucht hier der Mensch dem kargen Boden in steiler Lage einen Ertrag abzuringen. Der Fortschritt hielt erst in der Mitte des vergangenen Jahrhunderts Einzug. Geblieben sind die Höfe und die einzigartige Kulturlandschaft. Der Rundweg verbindet die Besonderheiten und ermöglicht Ein- und Ausblicke in das Leben der Bergbauern und in die atemberaubende Berglandschaft.

Erdbeerweg Sentiero delle fragole Strawberry path Il Parco Nazionale dello Stelvio Il Parco Nazionale dello Stelvio si estende nel cuore delle Alpi e comprende il gruppo dell’Ortles-Cevedale. Il Parco è caratterizzato da un notevole dislivello – dai 650 m del fondovalle ai 3.900 m delle vette innevate e quindi vi si ha trova grande varietà di flora e fauna. Scoprire questo territorio è un’avventura indimenticabile per tutti gli ospiti. Tutta la Val Martello e una parte della zona di Laces si trovano all’interno dell’area protetta del parco alpino. Il centro visite Culturamartell, della Val Martello, offrirà anche per l’estate 2012 un vasto programma di escursioni guidate (per informazioni più dettagliate chiamare il numero: 0473745027 o visitare il sito: www.culturamartell.com. Nel parco sono presenti cinque centri visita che hanno esposizioni con temi diversi che illustrano le particolarità del Parco Nazionale. A Prato allo Stelvio il centro Aquaprad ha come tema l’acqua e il mondo dei pesci presenti nella zona. In Val Martello, nell’ esposizione del centro visite Culturamartell, si scoprono la vita e la cultura rurale dei contadini in montagna. A Trafoi nel centro visite Naturatrafoi il tema è “vivere al limite” cioè come possono sopravvivere piante ed animali alle estreme condizioni climatiche dell’alta montagna. A Silandro nel centro Avimundus ci si può immergere nel mondo degli uccelli caratteristici del parco. Nel centro visite Lahnersäge della Val Ultimo il tema centrale sono il bosco e il legno. Inoltre, in ogni centro visite, vengono fatte ogni anno nuove esposizioni con temi interessanti che spiegano al meglio la vita del Parco Nazionale.

Sentiero delle fragole – preziosa natura In Alto Adige, pensando alla parola „fragola“, viene spontanamente in mente la Val Martello. Da più di 50 anni vengono cultivate in questa Valle bacche di tutti tipi. L’alta qualità di questi frutti si basa alla particolare posizione del terreno e del clima. Il percorso circolare con le tabeloni informative danno un quadro completo del “mondo delle fragole”. Sui masi in montagna sì può assaggiare bacche, erbe e prodotti di latte. Il sentiero circolare, con poco dislivello altimetrico, è molto interessante per famiglie.

Bosco-Montagna-Contadino-Sentiero „Selva“ si chiamo il territorio in alta montagna della Val Martello, sottostante della „Cima Lasa“. Da più di 1000 anni l’essere umano tenta qui di coltivare sul terreno ripido. Il progresso si sviluppava appena a metà dell’decennio. Rimasti sono i masi e un paesaggio culturale unico. Il percorso circolare unisce tutte queste particolarità e da la possibilità di curiorsare nella vita dei contadini in alta montagna ed il suo mondo da mozzafiato.

Il sentiero glaciologico della val Martello Generalità Il sentiero glaciologico comincia al parcheggio del rif.

Genziana e si snoda ad anello per una lunghezza di circa 10 km con dislivello in salita di quasi 600 m. L’itinerario è stato suddiviso in 9 tappe, al termine di ognuna è stata sistemata una stazione o un punto di sosta, da cui si effettuano le osservazioni. Wald-Berg-Bauer-Weg Bosco-Montagna-Contadino-Sentiero Forest-Mountain-Farmer-Path today this area is characterized by mountain farms and a unique cultural landscape. The circular path combines these peculiarities, enables insights into the daily life of mountain farmers and offers marvelous views of the breathtaking mountain landscape.

The Martell Valley’s educational glacier trail

Stelvio National Park Stelvio National Park lies in the heart of the Alps and includes the Ortles-Cevedale Alps. The park is characterized by a significant drop - from 650 mt. to 3,900 mt. in the valley of snow-capped peaks; tyhat is why you will find great variety of flora and fauna. Discovering this area is an unforgettable experience for all guests. The Martello Valley area and part of Laces area are within the protected area of this alpine park. At the Ultimo Valley Lahnersäge centre, the central theme is forest and wood. In addition, in these cultural locations, you can find, every year, new exhibitions: original interesting topics that explain every aspect of life in this National Park.

Strawberry path – Precious nature If you think of strawberries in South Tyrol, you immediately think of Val Martello. Strawberries have been cultivated in Val Martello for more than 50 years. Its special location and climate result in fruits of excellent quality. Thanks to information panels and adventure stations this circular path in the valley floor offers insights into the world of strawberries. Various farms along the path await you with strawberry, herbs and dairy products tastings. This circular path is particularly interesting for families due to small gradients and the attractive course of the path.

Forest-Mountain-Farmer-Path Selva is the name of the area high above Val Martello below the Cima di Lasa mountain peak.
