WELCOME NEW STAFF MEMBER! Shirley writes, “I am glad for the opportunity to come on staff at Rainbow Homes. I thoroughly enjoy the residents and appreciate the sense of family they have for each other. They sometimes squabble as in a family, but their concern and compassion is also very evident. I love the laughter and humor they share.” Shirley and her husband, Michael, met the first day of college and have been together ever since. For 15 years, Michael was a minister and they lived in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, Milwaukee, and Atlanta.

Now that their four children are grown, they have settled back in Lansing. They are kept busy with their family, church and “Shepherd’s Purse,”a ministry Michael started to raise awareness for street kids in Ukraine and Russia. We are a non-profit group that is interested in helping with environmental and charitable concerns within our local community.

MMPHC was formed in May 2003 after a chance encounter aboard Parrothead Cruise 2003. To date we have raised over $45,000 for local charities while having a lot of fun along the way. We call it "partying with a purpose". Mid-Michigan Parrot Head Club is an official Chapter Member of Parrot Heads in Paradise, Inc. (PHiP) Visit website at: www.mmphc.org/
