JURY JURY Luis Ospina Künstlerischer Leiter Cali International Film Festival Er studierte Cinematographie an der University of Southern California und der UCLA. Er ist der Regisseur zweier Langfilme: Pura Sangre (1982) und Soplo de Vida (1989). Daneben ist er der Regiesseur von mehr als 30 Kurzfilmen, unter denen Agarrando pueblo (1977, gemeinsam Carlos Mayolo), Andrés Caicedo: unos pocos buenos amigos (1986), Ojo y vista: peligra la vida del artista (1988) und La desazón suprema: retrato incesante de Fernando Vallejo (2003) hervorzuheben sind. Ospina hat daneben für Zeitschriften wie El Malpensante und Kinetoscopio geschrieben. Derzeit arbeitet er an seinem Film Un tigre de Papel, einer Mockumentary über den kolumbianischen Künstler Pedro Manrique Figueroa. Seine Werke sind auf den internationalen Festivals von Oberhausen, Biarritz, Havanna, Sitges, Bilbao, Lille, Caracas y Toulouse ausgezeichnet worden. He has directed two films: Pura Sangre (True Blood, 1985) and Soplo de Vida ( Breath of Life, 1989) and has produced more tan 30 short films and documentaries, including Agarrando pueblo (1977) codirected with Carlos Mayolo, a critique to the so called poverty porn; Andrés Caicedo: unos pocos buenos amigos (Some few good friends,1986), about the life and death of the Colombian Andrés Caicedo, Ojo y vista: peligra la vida del artista (Eye and view: artist life in danger, 1988), and La desazón suprema: retrato incesante de Fernando Vallejo (Supreme Uneasiness , 2003), about the life and work of the controversial writer from Antioquia, Colombia. Ospina has also worked in the field of chronicles in Magazines such as El Malpensante and Kinetoscopio. His last work is A Paper Tiger (2007), a mockumentary about the life of Pedro Manrique Figueroa, pioneer artist on collage and gulash in Colombia. His works have been awarded in International Festivals in Oberhausen, Biarritz, Havana, Sitges, Bilbao, Lille, Caracas and Toulouse.
Christine Tröstrum Projektdirektorin Berlinale Talent Campus Christine Tröstrum. Geboren 1972, studierte Theater, Cinematographie und Kommunikation und graduierte in Kulturstudien. Nach Mitarbeit bei Kinofestivals in Deutschland und Frankreich (Doc Film Festival in Augsburg und Marseille, Festival International du film Francophone in Tübingen/Stuttgart) wurde sie Koordinatorin diverser internationaler Projekte im Bereich Medienkommunikation, unter anderem “Cartoon Movie” (European Financing Market for Animated Feature Films in Babelsberg/Alemania); “CyberCinema” (erste Vorführung von elektronischen Filmen die via Satellit in ganz Europa verbreitet wurden). Zwischen 2000 und 2005 arbeitete sie als Projektverantwortliche der “Medienwoche Berlin-Brandeburg”, einer Reihe von internationalen Konferenzen, die sich mit den Zukunftsfragen der Merdienkommunikation, den kreativen Industrien und den digitalen Märkten beschäftigte. Derzeit ist sie verantwortlich für den Berlinale Talent Campus, eine internationalen Veranstaltung für Nachwuchscineasten, als Teil der Berlinale. Christine Tröstrum was born in 1972 and studied cultural and theatre studies/cultural communication in Berlin. Through 2000 she worked as a curator for film festivals in Tübingen, Augsburg and Marseille. From 2000-2004, Christine Tröstrum was event manager of Cartoon Movie, a financing market for animation films, and through 2005 project manager of the Berlin-Brandenburg Media Week at the Berlin-Brandenburg Media Board. Since 2004, she has worked for the Berlinale Talent Campus, of which she assumed general management together with Matthijs Wouter Knol in 2008.
