Dear Mrs. Ortiz,

I want to be a photographer. I have always wanted to be one and be able to go on tour with singers and take of photos of them during concerts. I really wanted to stay in yearbook, I didn’t know we had to sign up for being in a class that gives me and everyone a choice to be in. I want to be a photographer and thats all I want to be. This class was the really the only place to get me started and use to the camera. I’m going to have my own business soon I have worked with several people already and have been with people to photo shoots. I will be making my own website this summer. I have a Instagram and Facebook page with my photos and the users names are in the box above. I will be having a twitter for my photography once my business gets popular.

Self Evaluation I first came into journalism because I thought it would be fun and I would make a lot of friends. Once I got started it was great, I loved everything I was doing and I would do great when it came to indesign. My teacher Melanie Bradshaw taught me a lot and she got me through a bunch. She was always there to help and would show me little extra things I didn’t know on indesgin. She asked me to do yearbook so I was thinking about giving it a try. The next year I was in yearbook, I wasn’t so sure how it would be since we were going to have a new teacher but I was so excited just to be in the class. The first day we walked in the class our new teacher Megan Ortiz told us to grab a camera and go to the pep rally to start shooting. After that first pep rally I knew photography was going to be something I was going to be good at. Start of the year photography was the only thing I did for the year. I shot most of the sports and got some great shots. Throughout the year I started getting really serious about my photography. I have now made several different social medias so people can view my photos and tell me what they think. I am currently working on trying to get my own photography business going. During the school year if I ever had troubles shooting or had any questions I had two friends to help. Yearbook was tough but the only reason why I stayed in was so I can take photos of events going on throughout the year and because of my friends that would help me.

Reflection 1 The selfie page was the only page I ever worked on and I put a lot of work into it. During school I made signs to let everyone know about how people were going to be able to have a chance to be in the yearbook by just taking a picture of themselves. One week we got an Ipad and put some construction paper on the wall for a backdrop and throughout the week during lunch we got people to take selfies. A lot of people didn’t want to take a picture of themselves in front of people so I got some of the girls in yearbook to help me out go table to table during lunch to get some people to come up and take some selfies, it took quit a bit of some convincing for some people. I got about over 150 photos and it was hard picking photos. If I found a good photo I liked I had to make sure I had there names and make sure it wasn’t blurry most of the pictures were blurry and some I couldn’t use. This spread was defiantly one B , let me take a SELFIE of my favorites. ut first

A year after "selfie" was proclaimed a real word by Oxford and formally added to the dictionary, the obsession only grew.

This is by far my favorite photo I have ever taken so far. I love how you can see the emotion in Farron Crow’s face and all the strains in the guy’s . The depth of field in this photo is great too. The two bodies are completly clear and just everything around them is blurry.

This photo is one of my first pictures ever taken. It is also one of my best. The photo slowly starts to get blurry as it goes through the photo. I love how you can see all the water from him splashing.
