Why is Knox unique? The Apostle Paul exclaimed, “I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes” (Romans 1:16). That emphasis on the gospel has been a hallmark of Knox Theological Seminary from the first moment of its founding by Dr. D. James Kennedy because it was also the cornerstone of his worldwide ministry. Apart from Christ we are nothing and without hope. Our desire is to train new waves of gospel-centered graduates who will bring spiritual renewal to the church and moral certainty to our culture. Our academic program offers an extraordinary blend of Biblically grounded intellectual rigor and effective leadership training so that you will be prepared for ministry in the 21st century. Firmly committed to the authority and inerrancy of Scripture as well as to historic Reformed theology, our capable faculty is eager to instruct you and assist you as you begin to prepare for your noble calling from the Lord. Here you will discover a realistic grasp of the problems that face our culture and await you in ministry. You will come to understand the Bible far better, learn about the history of God’s people and their struggles, and develop the ability to communicate these things well. We do not promise to teach you everything, but we will teach you what is important for ministry, and we proceed with the knowledge that God is able to do far more than we can begin to imagine.
