OUR VALUES

PECT RES

Our diversity is our strength We’re curious, creative and embrace change We’re empowered to make a difference

Innovative work Innovation is one of our core values and that is demonstrated in some of our awardwinning teams: • Trailblazing work in the criminal justice system, a liaison and diversion service designed to support people out of custody for good, underpinned by bespoke technology • Our mother and baby unit, designed by mums with lived experience, helping to support fellow mums living with mental ill health, their baby and family • The vocational rehabilitation team, recognising routine and belonging as a way back to wellness, working with employers to offer hope after illness • The Kent and Medway Recovery and Wellbeing College offers educational courses to support mental, physical and emotional wellbeing in shared learning environments in the community • Our Open Dialogue service puts the patient at the centre after their first instance of psychosis with meetings involving both family and professionals • COVID has led us to operate differently and now home working and video call appointments will become part of our day-to-day going forward where they are making a difference to staff and patients.

Endless opportunities There are exciting times ahead as the Kent and Medway Medical School is set to open, a collaboration between Canterbury Christ Church University and the University of Kent with KMPT one of the NHS partners, inspiring the next generation of medical professionals. We are also at the forefront of partnership working - an integral part of the Sustainability and Transformation Partnership - looking at the way forward for sustainable health and social care. Indulge your research passion with our enthusiastic team, who are involved in a whole host of national and home-grown studies with the potential to shape future healthcare.

What we can offer you As well as a new hire bonus (ÂŁ15,000*) and financial support for relocation (up to ÂŁ8,000*), we want to understand what flexibility means to you. Talk to us. Is it a nine-day fortnight or condensed hours? Do you have some caring responsibilities? Is there a certain day you cannot work for personal reasons? Talk to us. We know you might have questions about admin support, on-call rotas and parking. Talk to us. COVID-19 has seen teams having to adapt and overcome some unprecedented challenges with extensive use of technology and home working during the pandemic. There are positives that have come from this time and will be adopted into our new working practices as we look ahead to recovery and renewal post-coronavirus. Talk to us about this. *Subject to conditions

What a place to live and work The transport links to and from London and the continent are fantastic, but, simply put, you won’t want to leave. We are a family-friendly county with first class state and independent schools and affordable housing. The average house price is here £360,000, so you get a lot of brick (and green space) for your buck compared to neighbouring regions. Whitstable and Deal have been voted two of the best places to live in the country with their vibrant high streets and incredible eateries. Margate and Folkestone are now world-class uber cool art destinations. We have the best collection of pubs, a heritage of brewing that is continuing with microbreweries, gin distilleries and vineyards offering gold medal refreshment. We have breathtaking castles, cathedrals and country houses bursting with history plus the mighty Bluewater shopping centre and a plethora of further choices for retail activities. There is a wealth of activities to keep little ones occupied and then you have the 350 miles of beaches, cliffs and coves; a coastline that is both stunning and stimulating, whatever the weather. Once you have been wild swimming in Bewl Water, mountain-biked the muddy Bedgebury Pinetum, kite-surfed off Herne Bay or walked the windswept bird sanctuary of Dungeness or the resplendent Kent Downs, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, you might just give up the gym membership for good. Your health and wellbeing and that of your family is as important to us as that of our service users and those who matter to them.

Meaningful and memorable work with people who will stay with you for the rest of your life.

What are you waiting for?
