M3 - MONSTA

THE PROVEN ALL ROUND PERFORMER.

MONSTA 3 is the most all round high performance board in the JS quiver. It has been credited as the 2013 surfboard of the year by the ASRA (Aust. Surf Retailers Awards) and played major part in Parkos world title. MONSTA 3 is a perfect middle ground model, performing in a huge range of conditions between perfection and slop. It is undoubtably the most ridden model by our pro team, undergoing slight adjustments from event to event and surfer to surfer to finally arrive at its ideal state. The M3 is built off the boards that Joel, Dusty, Ace, Julian and Gabriel Medina all rode throughout 2013.

LOWDOWN

THE NEW GENERATION SURFBOARD

The LOWDOWN was developed in the latter part of 2013. JS and Julian Wilson worked together on this model which was specifically designed for hi performance surfing in typical beach break conditions. Julians performance at Lowers and the conversations following, established there was still room for design change, particularly when waves were too weak for some other models. His style and combination of hard rail turns and aerials required a new approach to volume distribution, rail type and rocker. The key element in the LOWDOWN is the volume, which is pushed forward allowing you to drive and generate more speed from the front foot. With more volume forward, the foam over the fins is removed, increasing board sensitivity under the back foot.

HIPPEE

TAKING THINGS TO A NEW LEVEL

HIPPEE made its first appearance early this year under the feet of Julian Wilson. It was during the Hurley Australian Open, when conditions deteriorated to a weak 1 foot beach break throughout the middle rounds and competitors were left struggling for performance. Julian was lucky enough to have a HIPPEE on hand, an RnD board still undergoing some testing. It didn’t take long to see this board had some magic as JW dominated those rounds and badged the board, as possibly the best small wave performer to date. The Hippee secret is its crisp, direct drive, resulting from a straight section leading off the hip. This hip also gives a pivotal point for fast directional changes. HIPPEE has volume forward and is finer out the tail, specially suited surfers who want to combine aerials and rail surfing. STYLE#

BLAK BOX 2

ALL TIME BEST SELLER

BLAK BOX is the original summer days performer. It’s the no frills, no nonsense board for surfers who want something they can rely on in absolute junk - yet still have fun on when its good. Although BLAK BOX hasn't been front and center of our last few ranges its always held its own with a loyal fan base and solid reputation. Its now been updated to follow JS’s latest design qualities; its been narrowed slightly in the nose and tail, has a lower rail and removed double concave. In all, the BB2 has expanded its range of wave types without compromising performance in the small stuff. On top of all that we have built a stack of them with Black FUTURES boxes.. Understandably. BLAK BOX 2

NOW IN A ROUND TAIL.

Round Tail BLAK BOX 2 has all the same legendary elements that make up the original Squash Tail as well as some added versatility through an alternative tail shape and 5 fin set-up. BB2 squash already exceeded peoples expectations in a wide range of conditions some times pushing people to surf it beyond its intended limits. For this reason we wanted to expand these limits. Pin tails offer“all-round” performance in the pocket or tighter part of the wave. Set up as a quad you’ll get projection down steeper, faster waves, around a mushy close out section or extra hold in the tube with more speed and manouverability than you ever felt before. STYLE#

107

SUMMER PERFORMER

107107 was the code for the best JS small wave model design to date. 107 was built and trialled by JS staff, several JS team riders and local rippers. In fact the board disappeared for 18 months and was finally located in Parko’s garage recently. Parko had been nursing this puppy for over 1 year and he claimed that 107 was his all-time personal standout in small 1-2 feet conditions. JS replicated this model recently and once again 107 proved to be a step above any small wave model in its path. 107 has all the fundamentals needed for small wave surfing. The nose is wide however still conventional. The single concave under the chest offers a large sweet spot before running into a deeper double concave throughout the fins backed up by a light vee coming out of the tail. The design intent revolves around catching waves easily, capturing speed quickly and maintaining speed throughout turns. The tail volume is reduced and the curve is pulled for tighter turn in the pocket. STYLE#

THE FLYING PONY

NEW TO THE PONY STABLE

The FLYING PONY is the new evolution of past pony models the PIER and SHOW PONY's. Like its predecessors ,it’s specially designed for making sloppy summer surf something to get excited about. The FLYING PONY is true to Its name for 2 key reasons, it flies (not literally - but it is bloody fast) and its new, mini flyers. Building from the best elements of past pony's, JS has adjusted bottom contours making it faster down the line, added flyers to enable tighter turns and made sure it still motors through lifeless sections like its packing a 200 pony power outboard.Pony Power!
