Rothenburg ob der Tauber 2h away, it is great, worth seeing, has the biggest Kaethe Wohlfart Store. 28th Nov. is opening, really nice with music, guy on the horse coming in etc. http://www.tourismus.rothenburg.de/kunst_kultur/jahreshoehepunkte/reiterlesmarkt/ Maffei Mines, Auerbach (25min from Netz) 6/7 December we will go on the 7th because on the 6th is the pack meeting and we will go to the little Grafenwoehr Market after that. On the 7th at 730pm there is a parade of the Miners with torches. This market is supposed to be great. You have to follow the signs Maffei P+R to park and then a bus is taking you to the Mines. http://www.maffeispiele.de/ Schloss Wildenreuther, near Erbendorf, 6/7 and 13/14 Dec. We really enjoyed this one last year. It is smaller but has nice grounds and a fairytale enactment always at 5pm and 6pm. http://www.wildenreuther-wintermaerchen.de/ Schloss Guteneck, near Nabburg, about 20min south of Weiden. We liked this one a lot, enjoyed the scenery and castle grounds. It is about 2h south (93 down after Regenburg). It is a nice area and you can also go sledding, skiing etc. The nature trail is on a woodend walkway through the woods. It looks really nice, also in the summer. They also have a market between Christmas and New Years Eve. I hope we get to go one time. Pressath has a market on the 30th Nov. Pottenstein has a market on the 30th Nov. In front of the Schuettersmuehle where you can eat the Steak on the Stone little market all the weekends before Christmas. Not sure but since Pottenstein is so popular I wanted to put it on

Restaurant they will also have a how good this one is the list.

Ok here some bigger Christmas Markets that a worth seeing. They all go on every day until Christmas. Nuernberg – is worth seeing, food. There is also one area market just for the kids. We station last year. It worked

it is big and has lots of great stands and great before the big market square that has a little took the train from Freihung to the main train great – you just cross the street or go underground


which is safer and then you just walk straight into the inner city and towards the Market. Parking and traffic is a bit crazy there at Christmas. So the train is a good option! http://www.christkindlesmarkt.de/en/ Regensburg – castle Thurn und Taxis and inner city Thurn und Taxis is supposed to be nice- it is at the castle grounds. We hope we can go there this year. There is also the Rotmain shopping center that is worth a shopping trip. You can park right next to the center at the parking garage next to the cinema. Cross a street and you are in the city center. http://www.bayreuth.de/veranstaltungen/bayreuther_christkindlesmarkt_554.html There are many more- every city and town has a Christmas Market – Garmisch, Munich, Passau, Vienna, Salzburg, Bamberg, Amberg, Dresden, Berlin etc. etc.
