Excellent class! I got so much out of it. It really made me think about my own practice and how to do better for my students. Thank you for your detailed feedback on assignments. It was more about personal improvement than “grading”.
The discussions were very engaging. I didn’t want to miss a single class. I loved the Reimer! He was difficult to read at first, but I got a lot out of it. My one critique would be that the reading expectation from class to class was a bit difficult to manage. The Reimer & Woodford were very valuable texts. Thanks for your great facilitation. Karen is fantastic. If you get a chance to bring her as faculty at MSU, you should. I felt some of the reading was quite a bit much & not stimulating, however there were a lot of great discussions based on it. Thanks! This has been one of the most thought-provoking classes I’ve taken. Karen’s knowledge of and passion for the subject is clearly evident, and her interest in student success was more than any other professor has provided. From providing invaluable feedback on presentations and written work, to challenging thoughts on papers and providing edits, her input was extremely beneficial. Karen made this class super interesting! My personal level of engagement and motivation was high because of the genuine, sincere, authenticity that Karen brought to class every day.
