MEDICAL THEME AND FASHION. “We won’t deny that our recent works are dominated by the medical theme. It’s because we often combine metal with medical glass which complements our architectural style with its transparency and purity. We discover materials during the creative process; it’s not a primary indicator, it’s only a mean to express the idea. Thus, the ideas for works shift from one to another. We focus on what we believe to be the sensitive problems of modern society, such as racism (“blue blood”) or fitting the human body to standards (“Perfect
Beauty”). Currently we work on a joint project with visual artists Viktorija Medvedeva from Amsterdam and Zara Zerny from New York. Soon we’ll introduce the series of short fashion films called the Albedo. Albedo (en. whiteness) is the second of four alchemical stages, the transition from darkness to light. When the flashes of white silverish light fill the space, the shapes appear. None but illumination paves the way to development”.
