Greetings All,
Welcome to the May edition of Inside Scoop. On Monday, March 23rd, Governor Whitmer issued the executive order that put a temporary halt on construction in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Since that date, we have been diligently working behind the scenes on new procedures and policies that will ensure the health and safety of all workers onsite when they return to the project. Some of the things we have implemented are a site specific safety/health policy that offers guidelines for working safely. We have developed a health screening method that allows workers to scan a QR code on posters stationed at the project entrances with their cell phones. From there they are able to answer a few questions and, in return, those answers are logged automatically to a spreadsheet. Lastly, we have developed an Communicable Illness Preparedness and Response Plan along with a communication flow chart that helps guide the decision making process if there is a positive exposure. Along with working on the new policies and procedures, the additional behind the scenes work on Keller Lake has continued on without a hitch and I am happy to report that we will be going back to work on May 7th! May Project Milestones We have a very busy May ahead of us! We will be continuing with rough grading and backfill, foundation walls, stairway and elevator shafts, structural steel for building three and a long list of many other tasks. This month will set the stage for the project. Buildings will really start taking shape.
