Greetings all,
Welcome to the July edition of Inside Scoop. As we begin the summer months in Michigan, the project continues to pick up momentum even with the recent heat wave. While project progress is the utmost importance, we also want to make sure that the team onsite is safe from heat exhaustion. We are taking additional precautions like ensuring water is available, offering additional breaks and monitoring workers for signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion. The heat presents a unique challenge for us but we have a great plan in place to make sure everyone is safe. Moving on to the project, progress continues to roll along nicely. Over the past month the structural steel for building three has been completed and the second floor slab has been poured. This will make way for our first shipment of wall panels to arrive in the coming weeks. On the first floor of building three and in the parking garage, Godwin Plumbing has been installing all of the underground plumbing that will serve the entire facility. In building two, concrete is almost complete and the masons are wrapping up the last of the stair and elevator shafts. This opens buildings one and two for our precast plank installation that will serve as the base for those buildings. This work is scheduled to start after the holiday. As stated last month, “this past month has been a busy one for us” and it will continue to get busier as the months go by. Lastly, I want to wish everyone a fun and safe 4th of July. This month we would like to recognize the Allied Electric team for the effort they put forth installing the underground electric onsite. Allied has stayed on top of submittals, RFI’s and material procurement. It has been a pleasure working with Dave, Garett and Alex. Keep on rockin’ boys!

July Project Milestones We will be looking forward to finishing rough grading, concrete foundation walls and precast this month. All three are major driver’s to keep the project on schedule.
