UCSU OPPORTUNITIES

TRY NEW THINGS, DISCOVER WHAT YOU LOVE, MAKE A DIFFERENCE! UCSU can help you to: Join a group or society or start a new one. Connect you with volunteering opportunities. 12

STUDENT GROUPS

(AKA SPORTS AND SOCIETIES) Groups are the classic University experience. We’ve got sports teams, societies, study groups, faith groups, political groups, forums, salons, fundraisers, and a few other things we can’t even remember. Check them all out at www.ucsu.me/groups Some people will tell you about how students engaged with Groups get better grades and earn more money after graduation...but UCSU is all about providing that stage for you to show off, the chance to have a laugh and most importantly, make the best set of mates you’ll ever have. That’s why Group members get exclusive access to the only multi-campus social events of the year. If we don’t have something – we want it, because you know that thing you like doing? We like it too! And we want to help you share it with the world. The best bit is we’ll promote your idea to other students so they can get involved too – students are always in charge! All Groups will have a free session during Freshers, so come and meet them at the Fresher’s Fairs – continue your favourite hobby or try something completely new - it just might be the best decision you make all year. Questions? – Talk to this guy: Rob Ward | Groups Facilitator | 01524 590818 | studentgroups@cumbria.ac.uk UCSU Groups Home | UCSU Groups Facebook | UCSU Groups Twitter”
