Came to JMU as a non-scholarship performer but developed into one of the top tight ends in Division I-AA before being chosen in the ninth round of the 1988 NFL draft by Green Bay… On JMU’s career receiving lists among tight ends is third in receptions (46), second in receiving yards (866) and first in touchdowns catches (12)… Honorable-mention All-America in 1987… Had six touchdown receptions in 1987, tying Gary Clark’s then-JMU-season record.
