5-11, 160 Senior Outfield Danville, Va./Tunstall Kinesiology major (Sports Management) • Enters 2012 as likely outfield starter for JMU • Finished 2011 56th nationally for steals per game (0.44) and 62nd for total steals with 23 • For the full season, ranked 12th in the CAA for sacrifice hits with eight and third for steals with 23 • During 30 league games, ranked eighth in the CAA with six sacrifices and third with 12 steals • First collegiate home run was game winner, a three-run blast in the bottom of the eighth to beat Hofstra 13-12 • Moved into JMU season top 10 for steals with 23rd at Virginia Tech • Despite arm injury, completed the 2010 season with 20 games played, eight runs, and nine steals, all primarily in pinch-running situations. • Top pinch-running option for the Dukes and a reserve outfielder as a freshman. • Made career debut as a pinch-runner versus Troy. • Recorded first collegiate hit and scored a run in the second game of a doubleheader against Bryant. • Played summer 2009 for Herndon Braves in the Cal Ripken, Sr. Collegiate Baseball League. He hit .316 with three doubles and a home run in 19 at bats. Scott also threw 20 innings on the mound going 1-1 with a 5.85 ERA. • Named CAA Rookie of the Week after his pitching performances against Liberty and Northeastern. • Earned CAA Co-Pitcher of the Week after striking out a career-high nine through eight innings of work at Delaware, allowing just three hits and taking a shutout into the ninth. • Also appeared in 16 games in the lineup with two of three hits for the season going for home runs. • Drafted in 37th round out of high school by the Angels.
