Q: If you were stranded on a deserted island, what are three things you couldn’t live without? DS: All I need is water, food and my urban books. Q: Describe head coach Kenny Brooks in ONE word, and explain why. DS: Stylish because he is always rocking the Burberry and Abercrombie & Fitch shirts. Q: If basketballs could talk, what would they say to you? DS: “Debbie, I love being in your hands.” Q: What is your favorite part about traveling with the team to away games? DS: When we go out to eat, because we have great, funny conversations LOL. Q: What makes JMU special to you? DS: The family atmosphere. Everyone here really cares about you on and off the court. Q: Who’s the best dancer on the team? DS: Uh, me duh, LOL. I hit the Dougie! Q: Who’s the worst dancer on the team? DS: “GRANDMA” (Lauren Whitehurst), LOL! Q: If you could play another sport, what would it be? DS: Field hockey, because it was always fun in gym class, and I was good at it too. Q: How has your JMU basketball experience impacted your life? DS: It has exposed me to different people and cultures. I’m definitely more well rounded and diverse. Q: What made JMU the best choice for you during the recruiting process? DS: I felt comfortable around the coaches and the school has great academic programs. Q: What’s your favorite place/restaurant to eat? DS: Chipotle -- naked burritos, please and thank you! Q: If you were asked to be on America’s Got Talent, what would your talent be? DS: Ahem, sing, LOL. Q: What is your hometown most known for? DS: Smelling like seafood, LOL. Q: Who’s your favorite person to room with on road trips and why? DS: Key (Kiara Franciso), because she keeps me laughing and most importantly she doesn’t snore, LOL. Q: What is your favorite class at JMU? DS: My music class, because I enjoyed learning things about music. Q: What are you looking forward to the most for the upcoming season? DS: Repeating as CAA Champs! ENCORE! Q: If someone were to write a song about you, what would the title be? DS: “She bad!” Enough said. Q: What’s the biggest thing you learned from your freshman year? DS: The biggest thing I learned from my freshman year was to be mentally tough.
