As we enter our third season at JMU, we could not be more excited to be here and continue to grow the great tradition that is JMU volleyball. Our program is built on talented athletes who have the drive and desire to be the very best. We work year in and year out to win the CAA conference title and to compete in the NCAA tournament. James Madison University takes pride in offering the best experience possible for our student-athletes. We are located in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley, where breath-taking mountain views are an everyday occurrence. JMU offers first-class academics, with numerous national rankings in several majors. The Athletic Performance Center is second to none, offering students every opportunity to be successful in the classroom. We have a dedicated staff prepared to help you reach your full potential as a student and as an athlete. We are passionate about helping you to be your very best both on and off the court. • Hired as JMU’s head coach on January 25, 2010 • Came to Harrisonburg after three years as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at the University of Kentucky • 42-19 career record and 18-10 in CAA play • 2010 CAA co-Coach of the Year • 2010 VaSID State Coach of the Year • Identified in 2009 and 2010 by the AVCA as one of the “30 best coaches in the country under the age of 30” • Helped Kentucky improve its record in each of her three seasons there • While at Kentucky, the Wildcats went 77-21 overall and 47-13 in the SEC • Landed the 13th-ranked recruiting class in the country in 2009 • Played four seasons of volleyball and two seasons of basketball at Georgia Tech • Led the Yellow Jackets to the NCAA Championships all four years during her career, including trips to the quarterfinals in 2003 and the round of 16 in 2004 • Won two ACC regular season championships (2003, 2004) and one ACC tournament (2002) • AVCA honorable mention All-American in 2003 • All-ACC in 2002 and 2003 and ACC Rookie of the Year in 2001 • ACC Honor Roll and Georgia Tech Dean’s List student • Ranks second in GT history in solo blocks, fifth in kills, fifth in kills per set, eighth in total blocks and ninth in block assists • Spent a year playing professionally in Almeria, Spain

Tradition Kate Fuchs holds six of JMU’s eight career and season blocks records, including total blocks and block average.
The Dukes won the CAA championship in their first season under Disa Garner in 2000.
Allyson Halls ranks among the JMU career leaders in kills, blocks, and hitting percentage. She was a three-time All-CAA and All-State selection and an AVCA All-Region selection in 2006.
Lauren Miles, a three-time All-CAA honoree, holds JMU’s assist average record at 11.38 assists per set and ranks second in total assists with 4,178. 2012 JMU Volleyball - 17
Tradition Jena Pierson holds the JMU and CAA career digs record with 2,189 and also ranks among the NCAA career leaders. College Volleyball Update named her one of the top five liberos in the nation in 2006 and 2007 and made her a First Team Stellar Spiker in 2007 as one of the top 14 players in the nation.
Lindsay Collingwood (96-99) owns six career records at JMU, including kills and aces. Inducted into the JMU Hall of Fame in 2010.
JMU captured its first CAA championship in 1999.
Dana Jones (00-03) was a three-time All-CAA honoree and ranks in the top five in career kills, kill average, attempts, hitting percentage, blocks, and aces.

Lindsay Callahan was a First Team AllCAA selection in 2010. She finished her career ranked second in program history in attack attempts, third in kills, fourth in sets played, fifth in kills per set and eighth in digs. Debbie Prince (92-95) was a three-time All-CAA pick and played in more games than any other JMU player with 494.
