Press Credentials Requests for working press space should be made in writing at least 48 hours before the date of the home contest. Confirmation of the request will be made by James Madison Athletics Communications personnel. Press credentials WILL NOT be issued to spouses, friends or children, in accordance with the working code of the College Sports Information Directors of America. Press row is a working area and cheering will be grounds for removal.

Photographers Photographers are issued similar credentials to press row media. Due to HIPAA regulations, we ask all photographers, both television and print, not to photograph any injury evaluations done in the bench/sidelines area. Additionally, per the credential policy, there is no reselling of game photos taken by media members without the express written agreement from James Madison University.

Parking Parking for members of the media is available at the Convocation Center in Lot D. Requests for mailed parking passes should be made at least one week in advance, after which time parking credentials will be available from the lot monitor as availability allows.

Visiting Radio Accommodations for visiting radio stations will be available for all games on press row on the side opposite both team benches. Visitors receive one reciprocal phone line for their game broadcasts. Requests for additional lines or access to ISDN lines should be made at least two weeks prior to the game via Kevin Warner.

Media Information The James Madison Athletics Communications staff will provide game programs, flip cards, game notes and conference materials for both teams to credentialed media prior to all games. Statistical summaries and play-by-play sheets will be distributed throughout the game and will be available at the conclusion of the contest. Media members will be provided with a pre-game meal at least an hour prior to the game, while water and soft drinks will be available throughout the game. The media room is located between the JMU locker room and coaches’ office area.

Interview Policy (Game Day) James Madison’s post-game interviews will be conducted in the Duke Club Room near Door C and the visiting locker room. Both head coaches will be available to the media after the NCAA-mandated 10-minute cooling-off period, with the visiting team going first, followed by 2-3 JMU players with Head Coach Matt Brady going last. The James Madison locker room is closed to the media for regular season games.

Internet Access Both hard-wired and Ethernet internet access will be available to members of the working press. Media members are encouraged to use personal laptops or touchpads to access in-game statistics provided via statbroadcast.com.

Interview Policy (Non-Game Day)

Entering the Convocation Center Press credentials can be picked up at the James Madison Athletics Communications Office beginning two days prior to games and until noon for weekday home games or 3 p.m. Fridays for weekend games. ALL player and coach interview requests (whether in person or via email, phone, social media, etc.) must be cleared through the James Madison Athletics Communications Office at least 24 hours in advance in order to arrange a time that will not interfere with a student-athlete’s academic schedule.
