Light in architecture – facades painted light Architecture – this is not only shape, facture or size, but first of all this is light. We can create an object once again, exposing many architectural details thanks to its correct exposition by use of artificial light. Artificial lighting focuses our attention on illuminated places, when it gets dark.
Functions of architectonical lighting Artificial lighting shall perform two major roles: it allows on proper space reading and secondly it releases the comfort feeling of its utilizing. Architectural lighting shall not only fulfill utility functions, but in addition it shall create attractive night image of the objects. Thereby, it is necessary to apply well selected luminaires and lighting systems, enabling the recall by use of light of view of architectural objects known from daylight city panorama.
Application Decorative outdoor luminaires by LUG shall be applied for facade illumination of various buildings; interiors of shopping malls, hotels, training centres.

Architectural lighting
LUG has just introduced into its offer the line of modern luminaires for outdoor illumination of architectural objects - ROTUNDA (cylindrical) and CARO (rectangular). The group includes the following luminaires: - of various powers (from 20 to 70 W) - of various light beams (narrow-beams – 6°, 15°, average-beams – 30°, 45° and wide-beams - 75°, 80°, 90°) - single (one-sided) or double (two-sided) lighting beams - featuring reflector or lens, or alternatively combination reflector-lens within one body - wall-mounted or ceiling mounted versions (ROTUNDA n/t). Those luminaires are intended for modern, energy saving metal halide light sources.

ROTUNDA & CARO luminaires by LUG are top quality products – the luminaire body is made of die-cast aluminium in RAL9006. The luminaires feature toughened glass, aluminium reflectors, stainless steel bolts, and special silicone gaskets to provide high IP. Furthermore, they feature either conventional or electronic ballasts (in selected models) of reputable European suppliers.

Hotel “Wolsztyn Palace”
The illumination project for Hotel “Wolsztyn Palace” in Wolsztyn, Poland based on designers’ concept and completed by LUG was awarded in the CASE STUDY Contest by OSRAM in “Outdoor illuminations” category.
Perception and experience are essencial Architectural lighting creates an attractive view of illuminated building after dark when lighting accents are located correctly over the facade. It guides the spectators’ eyes and instinctively distinguish such object from its background. Thus, the selection of correct luminaires of precisely directed beams shall be so important. Correctly composed outdoor illumination creates coherent view of the building architecture, whereas its blocks become clear and adequate with architectonic concept. LUG Company offers complex advising services in the scope of outdoor illumination design as well as recommendation of the most suitable architectonical lighting.
