350 young adults with disabilities and their families received case management, independent living skills, and support through JFCS’ Shupin Community.

LISA’S STORY Lisa, who was removed from her mother’s home due to child abuse, found help with JFCS’ Center for Children and Youth. Thanks to the support of JFCS’ Sandra L. Schnitzer Resilience Fund, Lisa received trauma-informed therapy that her father could not afford. Now, she is a completely transformed child, playing happily with friends, participating in class, and meeting developmental milestones. Recently, Lisa had her first-ever birthday party, and her smile that day was priceless.
