Everyone Is Welcome

JFCS serves as our community safety net and one-stop shop for help. As first responders in times of crisis, we provide emergency assistance through a wide range of coordinated services, including food, financial assistance, expert mental health counseling, guidance for parents and children, and loving home-based care.

JFCS plays a critical role in strengthening the Bay Area’s Jewish community, ensuring that the poor, elderly, and sick will be cared for. Guided by the Jewish values of advancing human dignity for all, we are dedicated to elevating the quality of life for everyone in our community.

Award-Winning Services The achievements of JFCS have gained international attention. We are here for you with dozens of major programs, including home care for seniors, clinical therapy for children and adults, youth volunteer programs, services for people with disabilities, education for parents and caregivers, and much more.

Research and Training As a national leader in developing innovative human services, we incorporate the latest research and evidence-based practices to ensure clients receive the highest quality care. From our Center for Dementia Care to our Child Training Institute, JFCS trains professionals and volunteers with cutting-edge therapies used across the world.

Community Events and Education Thousands of people learn with JFCS each year—through parenting workshops, internships for teens, seminars for older adults, training for professionals and teachers, and university and high school fellowships. JFCS’ Holocaust Center is Northern California’s primary resource for Holocaust and genocide education and a global leader in combating antisemitism, racism, and hate.
